I'll assume this is more about creating a profile to download something, like Oracle requires.
If it were strictly for something on the job I might use my business email. Some times I'll use my boss' email address. 
But usually my personal address, because the profile may outlast the employment.
Something to bear in mind is the danger of the company using your email address as a way of supporting claims like "Company X uses our software".

I use address extensions:
yvan+walmart@mydomain.com
If you don't use this already, try it. Not all mailservers are configured to use address extensions, but many are.

I only rarely use the work email for work purposes since the mailbox is pathetically small (less than 500MB) and it throws away emails with attachments containing executables without me having a choice.
With that said I use my personal email for signing up for sites unless the site prevents that bu saying a gmail account can not be used. In that case I use my ISP email (which I also never use - although that is now several GB of space).

I use a unique email address for each site that I sign up to. These go to a catch all address but as they retain the email address that I used, I can just create a rule for it. It's also easy to delete all if the website is compromised and I start getting spam to a particular email address.

If the site has something to do with the job and it is a serious place then work e-mail.
If the site has nothing to do with work and it is a serious place then personal e-mail.
If the site is not serious fake e-mail.
In any case bacon and CListCtrl are welcome.

I use the same email for work and personal, but I also have a couple of "throwaway" emails.
They work, but anything you send to them is automatically binned.
There is "DontSendMeAnyCrap@..." which is handy for shops, for example.
But other than that it depends on the site and what I want to do with it. If it won't let me look properly without registration then I'll go elsewhere, or use a "Ten Minute Mail" address so I can pick up the registration confirmation link. Once I see what it's like inside, I'll either change the email to a "proper" address or go on my merry way.
If it's a shop that wants an email to buy something online, then I'll often set up a temporary email address: "Comet@..." for example with a push to my real address and either close it or not later. Surprising how many times you find the account has been sold on to advertisers...and one less customer in future.

If I am signing up for something personal then I use my personal email (or one of them). If the site is specifically related to the company I work for (i.e. If I leave the company then I have no use for the account) then I use my work email address.
That means mostly my personal ones get used, by not exclusively.

There should have been an option " I use just one ID for both personal & professional use". I've multiple IDs, but use just one for all my uses online, this also includes testing the email based applications I've developed and sending test emails to myself.

Once I download some third party software for my ASP.NET project they asked for Email, I gave them my Personal Email and from next day, surprisingly there was hundreds of SPAM mail in my inbox.
I guess these third party companies may sell our email address to marketing peoples and we need face such SPAMS...
Why the He** there is so many Email in my Inbox...
Daily I got 200+ mail in my inbox and one 1 or 2 are useful to me, Rest of the mail from Insurance companies, debit/credit cards, policies, bank BLAH BLAH...
