Hello all,
At the end our comapny has got new phones and we've got into Android from Blackberry.
We are happy with that as it will allow us to take more from our phones.
Let's go to the problem itself:
I've decided to give a go to IMAP in order to synchronize automatically our e-mail in our phones, our desktops and laptops. Ravi was the one pointing me to that direction (thanks).
Now I've started setting up my Outlook client and I've noticed that I can't move the .Ost file to a different location.
I've searched the Internet and I've seen this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2752583/en-us#LetMeFixItMyselfAlways[^]
But it is not working...
Any idea of how should I do it?
I want to put our .Ost files in our server directly... in our laptops it is ok to have them at a predefined place, but not in our desktops.
The failure comes at the step 8 where I can't select "Use Cached Exchange Mode"...

Why on earth isn't it ok to have the OST files stored locally? 
They are meant to be a cache of the objects on the server, and are not made for storing on the network. You're actually risking corruption of your data.

If you haven't figured it out (and it seems like you are getting there), there are no changes to your desktop side of things at all, once you've got Outlook set up to read the IMAP boxes correctly. And that is done through a local PST file, which is simply Outlooks' duplication of the server mails.
The only thing you should need to do is to set up the mailboxes on the Android to point to the IMAP boxes on the server (using the same settings that you used in Outlook - i.e., port, server, password, ...). I have an older phone and it works with 3 different mailboxes concurrently that Outlook also reads and writes to. There was a point where I had to call my ISP because some Apache settings were messed up, not allowing enough simultaneous connections, but that had nothing to do with the basic setup.
If that doesn't get you going, holler again and I'll try to remember more.
edit: PS - I even read some accounts using TBird on the computer because it is much faster than my old Outlook, and that works well, even having Outlook and TBird open at the same time.

I really wanted to make bacon and eggs last night but didn't have any bacon. I couldn't be bothered to go out and get any but then I found this[^] in the cupboard...
Voila! A bacon omelet. Tasted pretty good. Added tomato, some beans[^], toast and a liberal dash of Sriracha[^] sauce (now addicted to it).

Hey CPians. I apologize in advance for the pseudo-spam, but it's for a good cause:
A buddy of mine created a new build system called PVC[^]. Free and open source, utilizes build tasks written in ScriptCS (C# without the compiler), a streaming build system inspired by Gulp.
He's got a nice little charity going[^]: Write a build plugin (e.g.: convert all tabs to spaces), and $50 gets donated to a person in medical need via Watsi.
Fun way to contribute to an open source project, plus you're helping people in need.
I figure I'll try my hand at writing a TypeScript plugin, maybe write a CP article about it. For some ideas of what to build, see the PVC help wanted page[^].

Hey, I've been on Code Project for over a decade. I figure I've earned some leeway, no?
Especially since it's for charity work, helping people in medical need. Plus, no money is being made here; this is non-commerical, open source bits, so it can't truly be spam! 
(That said, if others feel it's too spammy, no worries, I'll delete it.)

He's different. He already aknowledged that something like his post may bee considered spam, but we had book & ink eShops advertised here, so I fail to see an issue. Apart from that, the post doesn't look like the usual spam (usual spam as in "long, unrelated text and maybe an obscure phone number").

This weekend, I'm going to be ordering the remainder of the parts needed for my engine swap. The motor is at the machine shop being final-machined and assembled. Total expenditures so far (including parts about to be ordered) - $17,900.
Shouold be able to start the swap by mid/late June - two months ahead of schedule. Target completion date is Oct 01.
