The product does have a "community" version which is free, but other versions are paid-for products.

I've marked it as being in the wrong section - I think it should be a blog alongside their other offerings - what do you think?

Well, in the article he is refering to ANKHOR as 'They':
They offer a 'Community Edition' which is free to use, even for commercial projects.
Wheareas in fact he plays actually an active role in there (at least as suggests his presentation).
Definitely a product showcase, even if the content in itself is not devoid of interest.
