Misunderstood requirements:
Requirement : "User shouldn't be able to do X more than once a day" (e.g. backup)
How it is understood: "I'll not let the user login more than once a day, where's the question of doing X more than a day?"

Or make a log file with username and date and check if this user logged in with existing date in table prevent him from logging in else he is logging in for the first time then add the entry to the log table.
