Not exactly a bug, but you might to want to consider and it's annoying to see such crappy content on home page.
So, I opened the home page and wanted to look at Latest News, Discussions etc.
And what I see is this.
Latest Discussions[^]
However when I clicked on the links, it appeared that they were deleted from the CodeProject but Home Page still was showing them.
Btw, shouldn't there be some kind of smart filter which decides what goes to home page.

The homepage is cached so as soon as it's updated (just a few minutes) those entries will be removed.

The text of the menu button disappears when you mouse over the "home" menu.
Happens in IE 11 and FF 28.
The difficult we do right away...
...the impossible takes slightly longer.

I tried the "new version" for the first time, and ... it's still not brilliant.
It doesn't match the template: so when the template says "code blocks should look like this" I still had to manually edit the HTML to get them to look that way. But, that's not what I was here for...
When I am writing an article, I tick the "work in progress" button for obvious reasons, and when I want a break I press "Save this version". And it complains: "Content is too short or default" - with no clue as to what content it is complaining about. OK, I'm getting used to this, and know it's the sections at the bottom that I haven't got to yet, but...if it's not for publication yet, why would I need to fill this in?
All it's going to do is confuse new authors (just like it did me the first time I met it: I assumed that the message meant I couldn't save it yet because the whole article was too short)
All it needs is a check added: "Is this for publication yet?" No, ok - don't check the default material.
(And if you could get the Publish/Save button text to match the checkbox when you reopen it, that would be nice as well!  )

I writing my 5th article with it (and also added some code via CM  )...
For the code block...What kind of manual edit you have to do? I added countless code blocks with no problem (I may missed something?).
The rest of your complain is painfully true, but not really related to the editor. There is some code that checks if you have default code in your article...
By the way, did you used the full screen mode? I love it...

So to clarify: you hit "Save Draft" and it complained about the content?
We need to split the error message. It is "too short OR there is default (eg template) content still embedded". We trap article saves from people who just load up the template and try and submit it.
However, you're correct in that if you're not attempting to publish then these checks should not happen.

No, not quite.
Tick the "work in progress, do not publish" checkbox, and the "Publish" button changes to "Save this version". Press that, and it checks the content and complains!
