It does not surprise me... because even if you are french creating a company is a stupid long and complex process. (Did it a few time...)
When I heard that in england, you can get a round trip plane ticket and create your whole company in one day, I sincerely asked myself twice if I really wanted to create it in France.
I guess that these british instructors thought it would be as easy in France.

I recall Labour using the weary, dreary political cheesy slogan I first saw the ANC use in SA in the buildup to the 1994 elections: "Tough on crime, touch on the causes of crime. Smash crime. Vote ANC."
Nothing's changed.
If there is one thing more dangerous than getting between a bear and her cubs it's getting between my wife and her chocolate.

That could take time, yes.

This surprised me, so I had a look at the rep graph and did some sophisticated analysis (well, used a piece of paper as a straight edge, and dropped a line down to the time axis, then played with my calculator.)
Mid to late May.
That's crazy - the graph has to be well off scale. It's late Feb now, so that's +60K rep points in 2 1/2 or 3 months! Surely some mistake here - I think the hamsters messed up...

My calculation was - you point left to 1 million (about 60.000) divided by your monthly average in QA (about 8000). That gave me over 7 months and I dropped some as you also do other things in CP...
I may not estimated well you other contributions...
Anyway - you may prepare for a party...(don't forget to invite the hamsters!)

Hmm, I would like to apply for a Job at Griff&Griff LTD. For the week of the party + a day or two for recuperating. I would take my pay in liquor & solid gold.
What address shall I send the CV to?

It's going to be about this little CP desktop gizmo.
Click for a picture of the developing UI[^]
Basically, this thing monitors CP's RSS feeds and user stats and displays them in this popup.
In light of the recent CP spam wave it's also going to include a Bayesian Spam Filter[^] with which it will check the forums you are monitoring for spam. It will also parse the latest posts in CP's Spam and Abuse forum for suspects.
When spam is detected, a sample of it will be displayed to the user for human review.
If you click "Yes, This is Spam" it will automatically search out all that spammer's messages, report them using your account, and then report the spammer himself!
If you guys have any suggestions I'd like to hear them.

I do that by clicking on the spammer's id.

That's what I do as well.
However it's a pain to open up each spam message manually to report it - hence why this thing will do that automatically.

If you click "Yes, This is Spam" it will automatically search out all that spammer's messages, report them using your account, and then report the spammer himself I suggest you do not implement a feature like this. I am afraid it will be used by the "bad spirit of a headless evil" [^] to make false reports.
Bob does not own a red shirt. imho, you should ask CodeProject's staff for their "blessing" before you let this robot out of its cage, and off-load members' responsibility to judiciously use weapons-of-war during riots.

We are not in any of the villages mentioned but there are a lot of red shirts hung in our village (BanLaBerg, BanDan, Buriram) also so it has spread further than where was mentioned in the article.
Every now and again all the dogs in the village start howling for no apparent rason. Not just a few but all the dogs. It is unusual as they usually bark when people walk around. The locals say that when they howl it is because ghosts are in the village.
I do have to admit that a lot of howling dogs does sound spooky.
I just rely on the two spirit houses (Katum Ta) we have set up in the front yard. They are a place for spirits to rest on their journeys. One is for the spirits of our family and the other is for any passing spirit who needs a place to stay. So far they have worked.
