For marketing people a very specific treatment is required - mix Tanqueray with Fever Tree at a ratio of 5:2 and pour over frozen cubes of Evean with a thick slice of Jhambiri. Repeat every 23 minutes until the number of marketeers at least doubles.

Think of it this way, it's still better than having to tell them the data the IT groups been giving them was wrong for 3 years. That was fun, same company had a beer fridge within IT's range of influence. I understood why after that meeting.

Marketing -
I was recently on the customer-800-number phone to Tropicana, a producer of Orange (and other) juices in the USA (now owned by PepsiCo).
It was related to them still creating beverages flavored colored with insect extract. This was a minor scandal some years back and they removed it from a few products. At the time it was referred to as cochineal extract.
Now, still in use, they used an alternate name for the same dye: carmine.
Anyway, I was told, amongst other things, that marketing decided that pink grapefruit juice beverages (which turn out to be less than 1/3 grapefruit although it's marketed as grapefruit 100% juice) must be pink as a monkey's ass in heat.
So - my suggestion when you meet marketing is to puke on someone, excuse yourself, and leave.

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today...

Provided the battery hasn't gone flat again,
And the electrics shuffled off this mortal coil,
And even more mortal points."

Monday morning. The Article approval queue is full of rubbish.
Two articles are advertising SEO optimization, another two are blatant spam and the 5th has posted an exact copy of another CP article, claiming that it was his and the account got deleted (and he wasn't able to get it back alive).
Gonna be a great week.

Better go back to bed!
Anything that is unrelated to elephants is irrelephant Anonymous ----- The problem with quotes on the internet is that you can never tell if they're genuine Winston Churchill, 1944 ----- I'd just like a chance to prove that money can't make me happy. Me, all the time

And the third one is a known plagiarist and I just haven't found where he copied it from yet...

Where do I find a full list of articles needing approval? On the front page is never more than five.

Don't you start!
The list of the five latest submissions on the front page is all you get - which is bally annoying when a competition is on and the whole damn queue fills up with worthless trash that "pushes" the real material out of view for a couple of hours. It wouldn't be so bad if the entries had any chance of winning, but we have to moderate and approve this massive list of "me too" drivel before we can even see the "good" stuff.
