A couple of weeks ago, I tried to swap over my wheels to put on a set of Winters in prep for going up skiing.
After swapping over 3 wheels and moving to number 4, the locking wheel nut and the one to its right were seized solid. So tight that I even started to twist the head of the wrench. Also, with all the effort, the locking nut key now just pops off as it is slightly mangled. Had to take the other three wheels back off (and needless to say, didn't put the locking ones on them just in case).
Took the car up to the dealer today, and asked if they good get their guys to rattle the two seized ones with an impact wrench, seeing as they had the wheel off last for the service back in September. This was an unannounced visit, with no booking and he was a bit hesitant but said ok. (The place was pretty busy).
A couple of minutes later, the guy comes back through and says they are just trying to find their set of master keys as mine isn't working due to its condition. After about another 20 minutes, they came back and said they have given up, the master isn't even shifting things and this is going to take a lot longer and will need to book it in. They will probably have to try heating things etc. and small risk of damaging the wheel blah blah blah. They what to use the loosen off the others and get the wheel hub hot using the cars brakes. I guess using a flame on the alloys will wreck the matt black paintwork.
Nothing is ever simple.......I get a distinct feeling that this is going to turn into a drill the seized ones out affair.

And that is going to be a PITA...they are generally designed to make it difficult!

Locking wheel nuts, good idea in theory, who ever on M32 in the dark, peaing rain, no key not so great.
Locking wheel nuts mean it's harder to steal the alloy but with the grief they can cause I have rejected them (at this point I should note I drive the cheapest Kia available, mostly due to fact anything nicer gets nicked, the part of Bristol I live in you think twice about stopping at traffic lights for fear your wheels will walk!)

Copper paste or MoS2 is great for anti seizing. But it's a bit late now.

go park it in Liverpool mossside overnight the wheels will be off by the morning
seriously the usual trick of the scroates is to hammer a cheap socket over the locking nut and use a long bar, but then again they dont care about damaging the nut or worse snapping the stud

Not that type of locking nut. This is a flat faced with a recessed groove/shape cut into it. Otherwise I would have tried that 1st.

i think they just use a bigger socket that deforms round the outter rim of the nut (seemingly the multipoint socket 32 point? is best)

It sounds like they were the ones who screwed up the wheel in the first place.
This story sounds familiar. When I was a kid, my dad took our car into the dealer for an oil change. He discovered later that some moron had put the oil plug back in with an impact wrench. This had the dual effect of locking the plug in place and stripping the threads, resulting in a continual oil leak.
