That's a jolly good punt for sure.

Today, Google are celebrating the birth of Eugène Viollet-le-Duc[^] a French architect.
Pah! They clearly didn't notice that today is the last Monday in January, which means...
...It's Bubble Wrap Day![^]
So, folks, let's get a-poppin'! You know you want to...

Just turned upside-down the office - no bubble wrap here - can you spare some?

Have fun[^]
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

After the conversation in that thread I looked at a couple of videos and it looks like a nice unit.
What intrigued me was the bridge software that married the Linux and Arduino units.
I had thought about ordering one but I'm already way far behind on my learning schedule.
1) Finish WinHeist conversion utitlity - not going well
2) Beaglebone Black - steep learning curve
3) Linux - so I can better understand how to program the BBB
4) Python - This is for bonus points.
5) Robbie - the autonomous rover
6) 2 online classes
- UTAustinX: UT.6.01x Embedded Systems
- Georgia Tech, Control of Mobile Robots
7) Still working on the house, replacing windows is next on the list.
8) My old truck needs some work.
I'm busier now that I'm retired as when I was working full time??????
[edit]
0) and I also have one of these[^] coming that I'm using in the UT class I'm taking, which looks promising.

Here's another one that's got me drooling Paralella board[^]

That Parallela board looks terrific. What kinds of applications would take advantage of it?
The difficult we do right away...
...the impossible takes slightly longer.

A super duper toilet paper dispenser?
I can't think of any application that would need that much HP but would sure be fun to play with!

Me Too. I've got a mini-cluster coming as part of the kickstarter. 4xParalella 16 core boards. Don't know when they will actually arrive, they keep slipping their schedule due to hiccups. I think the latest best guess is March.

I'm tempted to get one but don't know what I'd do with it other than learn parallel computing?
4 boards, that would be awesome to get a cluster going. What else do you intend to do with it Dave?

I want to play around with Linux more and also look at things like mongodb clusters, sharding etc. Understand node.js in distributed environments etc.
Basically just faff about when I have some time on my hands.

I've spent the last few days with Linux on the BBB and I ?think? I'm starting to get a handle on it.
