My horological hero is George Daniels who died a couple of years ago. His co-axial escapement was the first real innovation in watchmaking since the time of John Harrison, that is, in over 250 years. Yet, his death was mostly unreported in the media. If you buy any modern Omega watch, Daniels' co-axial is what drives the gearing with unparalleled precision and timing. I had the privilege of meeting him once and he was a big fan of BMW bikes.
If there is one thing more dangerous than getting between a bear and her cubs it's getting between my wife and her chocolate.
