Microchip provides a family of microcontrollers dedicated to DSP (see dsPIC30F[^] and dsPIC33F/E[^]).

Thanks not familiar with the PIC line of uControllers, have only worked with the 8-bit line of Atmel uCOntrollers so I guess I mistakenly assumed the OP was thinking along the same lines. My bad!

Haven't heard that one in a while. Is one of those albums I remember listing to a long time ago. Haven't heard the album since that time. Thanks
It was broke, so I fixed it.

I actually bought it on tape - had a JVC 'walkman' kind of thing, a bit larger than Sonys product ... and it was my favourite for the rest of that summer ...

I'd look at OpenBSD. I used it once as a transparent firewall. Didn't have any hacks that I know of, so I assume it worked.

The Red Hat 7.1 I have (from 2001) seems to require a minimum of 32MB and a 486. Does your system have a 3.5" floppy drive?

Linux is for kids.
The grownups use FreeBSD.
M0n0wall[^] and pfSense[^] are FreeBSD firewalls that operate off a livecd, USB stick or, CF card. They recommend 64MB RAM.

Hi All,
Any recommendations for a printer (colour yes, wireless printing nice but not a deal breaker) for use once or twice a month (or less) usually to print-out instructions & the odd letter(?)/web pages. My Canon i250 that I was using with out problem refused as the waste ink absorbers are full, I am planning on taking it to bits and trying to clean them (purchase delayed until failure to complete) I have grabbed a pair of rubber gloves for the purpose. Now to search boob tube for a how to vid!
