For me both Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center works just fine. Also have you tried using 'Plex Home Theatre'? It's a dedicated client for consuming 'Plex Media Server', but I think it should work with any other DLNA / UPnP Servers.

Plex theatre is not working for me... It seems it can read only from plex media server 
And I don't know why vlc and wmp are not working... But... No luck with them.

Hello all,
In my inlaws they want to connect their TV to the network, to be able to use the internet capabilities and to use a DLNA server to reproduce photos and films.
It should be as easy to plug a PLC and connect the TV into it.
The problem comes with the plug.
There's something in the plug that prevents the PLC to work as expected.
I've tested it with a long Ethernet cable and the same PLC in another plug and it works. 
What should be checked once it is clear that the problem origin is the plug itself?
They prefer to use the PLC rather than the WIFI solution, but I truly don't know how to solve it unless they put an extension cable or an acces point and use wifi.
What could be the reason of the failure of a PLC in a specific plug?

I have no idea how Spanish houses are wired (rings, spurs, etc.) but fairly obviously the two PLCs have to be on the "same" bit of mains wire (or at least closely connected mains wires) and on the same side of any filters you might have on there. Quite probably, they also want the same earth (though I'm not too sure about that).
So start by looking at a fuse box: Are the PLC's trying to work on the same circuit? If so, then they should all be on the same piece of wire regardless of topology. If not, then try the PLC in another plug on the same circuit that it fails on - if it still doesn't work then it's likely there is a filter or other disconnect between the two.
If it works on that plug, then you need to look at the specific plug where it fails (carefully, mains bites) and possibly with an electrician involved.

Yep, that's what I thought, I looked into the main electrical cabinet of their house and the only thing I was able to see was that there was only one circuit for all the plugs... there must be anything into the network that is "disrupting" the signal...
What I can't imagine is what it is... probably the electrician will be the best option here... Last time I got a voltmeter it ended in tears...

For my TV I plug it into a wireless extender which connects to my network by wifi, but has a couple of RJ45 sockets too. This also improves the range of my wifi network around th ehouse and garden.

Oh, they have a TV that is already WIFI capable but the problema is that the computer that is the MEDIA server is placed after a couple of PLC devices and when the TV is connecting wirelessly to the router the packets must travel through two PLC devices and back to get it working therefore this is not a good option, what I probably will end up with is:
put an Access point into the computer that will be the media server and connect the TV to that access point...

I'm pretty sure when entering the word "sms" in google you'll get a lot of good websites that offer what you're looking for

are you using any application to send sms or are you just sending SMS from any website directly.
If the latter is the case, then use other websites such as www.way2sms.com..
if the former is the case, please check the webservice used to send the SMS.
Also please provide more information so that we can help you find right solution...

Though I should not give you any (you're posting in the wrong forum after all), my advice is that you choose any tool with which you feel comfortable. is really a matter of opinion.

For that first thing he needs is list of tools that he can try and then only he can decide in which tool he is comfortable and once again the same question arise i.e. - "Which tool to go for?"

Well there are many IDE. You can develop HTML 5 app in -
Dreamweaver
Visual studio
Netbeans
You can also use cordova phonegap to target various devices.

Thanks Andy!!! If we are using Visual Studio for this purpose, Do I need to install anything specific other than the HTML 5 Setup for Visual Studio. Can I target different platform [Android, Windows,Iphone..]when I develop HTML5 apps from VS?

If you want to develop HTML5 web pages then no additional tools required.
If you want to develop native apps for iphone, android, win phone etc. then you need some sort of host application that hosts your html5 app (in lieu of a web browser)
There are a few around (try this for example[^]
Personally I haven't used any enough to comment.
Generally speaking, you need to use some sort of hosting app or tool if you need to access a phone's hardware (accelerometer, for example) as the host app will give javascript access to the interface.
