I am not disagreeing with your stance, but I believe that the forum title "Visual Basic" invites VB6 type questions as it has been the traditional way to refer to that language.

What I do disagree with is:
the urge to call the poster a complete idiot and to upgrade to .Net.
On another site, I helped a guy with a VB6 project and I asked him if he could explain why I observed so many VB6 questions from his stated country (India) and he informed me that it was what being taught at his university (this about one year ago). Needless to say, I was somewhat taken back by that statement, but it explained the many rudimentary programing questions being posed in VB6. My reason for stating this, is so that those with the urge to ridicule may think a bit before doing so. Perhaps, some of CP's members from India could offer further insight on this issue.

Additionally, this site claims:
Quote:
CodeProject is a community of Software development and Design developers joined together with certain common goals: to learn, to teach and to have fun programming. Developers from all over the world come together to share source code, tutorials and knowledge for free to help their fellow programmers.
I see nothing in that statement that says a programming language must be actively supported by its creator for it to be a valid topic for discussion.
