Nice menu.
Except maybe asparagus, that will f*** up your wine pairing; unless you get a nice Sauvignon Blanc (Didier Dagueneau or a Sancerre from the Domaine Vacheron from the Loire region).
I'd rather be phishing!

Deffo a Sancerre, the only wine that can take asparagus.

You've thrown me off on this one.
When I first started visiting North America I was confused and scared by the menus that had things like:
Entree:
50lb Steak au Cow with Large Root Vegetables
Entire Sea Bass, waved near a skillet
Ostrich, whole.
Apart from the size of the meals, I could not fathom how someone could have that as an Entree. I was too scared to ask for the Main Course menu.
Then I realised that when they say Entree they don't mean starter they mean the Main Event.
I thought this was just an American thing. No?

So I am working on excel 2010 64bit on Win8 64bit, programming a macro and trying to create a form containing a date picker (calendar).
This is not an inbuild control anymore, as it used to be.
OK, googled, downloaded the corresponding ocx, and tried to register it. Did not work.
OK, googled, learned that you need "super admin privileges" (I was already admin in the previous step). Fine. Registered. Date pciker did not show up in excel.
OK, googled, learned that you need to add the control in the reference list. Did that. Date pciker still did not show up in the additional controls.
OK, googled, and finally learned that MS has not provided a 64bit version of the common controls yet. Would have worked in any other combination OS32/Office32, OS64/Office32, but not OS64/Office64.
The only thing useful in all this, is that I learned that when you go in the bottom left corner and right-click in Win8, a super context menu appears with a lot of useful shortcuts.

I really don't understand why everything has to be so complicated when it comes to 64 bit. It's not exactly like it's a new technology...
I've also run across several things that work perfectly fine in 32 bits, but not at all in 64 bits...

I dream of the day of working in a 64bit environment.
Hell our legacy system is still in MS Access 2000 running on a 32bit XP.
I have a feeling that Windows Whine will have died the moment we leave XP at this rate

Actually spend time on their most profitable product line? That's just silly. Better to spend time and money messing up all the icons and colors in Visual Studio, creating an abominable site for App Store developers and developing a tablet nobody wants.

You can also get to the menu by pressing Win+X on your keyboard.

You may be able to create your own DateTimePicker control using VB.Net. The only reason I say "may be able to" is because I do not have Office 64 to test this, but it works great for my 32 bit Office 2007.
Microsoft released a SDK to create ActiveX controls in VB.Net that can be hosted in VB6 and the created controls work great in Excel as well. The SDK is targeted to VS2008 and VS2010 and installs a template for creating am ActiveX UserControl in VB.Net.
Back to the future! – New version of the VB6 InteropForms toolkit is released!![^]
Microsoft InteropForms Toolkit 2.1[^]
As this was designed for VB6, the template targets x86. This in itself is appropriate, but the ninnies did this under the AnyCPU configuration. So you think AnyCPU is targeted, but in reality it is x86; I mention this because I think you will want to target AnyCPU for this to work with Office 64 bit.

...you see a clickbait link titled "The Surprising Link Between MS and Sunshine" and wonder how anyone could be surprised about Microsoft being run by a bunch of sunshines.
