I wish! She sounded quite delightful, and she lives not too far away. But she is quite a bit younger... Ah well.

Roger Wright wrote: I wish! She sounded quite delightful There was a tannoy system at one of my first jobs, and every now and then this incredibly silky, sexy voice would announce that there was a visitor or call for someone. It really was the kind of voice that sent shivers up a young lad's spine.
After a few months, I never heard the voice again, leaving me feeling desolate.
It turned out that she'd retired.

If your luck is anything like mine, she was probably 107 years old...

Have another chat. Get those $4.5 back and use it for coffee. Then get that speed for free!, Good investment.

Care to mention the ISP? If it's the same one I use, I'd like to see if I could get a similar deal.

Sure! The ISP is SuddenLink, and I have no idea what their area of coverage might be. It's my impression that they are quite large, but our service area is quite small, and apparently deserving of low level service. That impression does not properly express my experience with the company. I've had excellent service, despite my remote location. They continue to do well for me, and I will continue to recommend their excellent services.

So how much in total you pay now?

If you'd have been a new customer you would have got the same speed for the old price.
That's how they do it in the UK.

My ISP is increasing the speed without even notifying me. Originally subscribed for a 25 Mbps. Since then it increased twice (first to 30Mbps and now to 35Mbps) This without any subscription fee changes or the like

You are not in the UK then?

My partner has a more-or-less life-long interest in diet, nutrition, psychology, mind-body connection, and so forth. She now has her very first blog where you can read her first entry, Taking Initiative. Drop her a kind note if you're inspired.

She doesn't mention the human body's requirement for bacon and beer even once, so she obviously doesn't know what she's talking about.

I haven't found the comments section, othrwise I'd have dropped that as my statement.
And then I heard it like a shot through my skull to my brain,
I felt my fingertips tingle and it started to rain,
When the walls of my bedroom were tremblin' around me,
This ramshackle voice over attack of a bluebeat,
And tellin' me she's only looking for fun.
And this was the sound of the very last gang in town.
I'da called you Woody, Joe

Wow, given that bacon is almost a religion here, your post is quite brave.

Found this last night: Star Trek Continues[^] and watched the episode. Was a bit cringworthy to start with but got better, if entirely predictable. What was cool is that they had the actor from the original episode for which this is a sequel as well as James Doohan's son with a pretty poor accent.
Quite a few cool points but it needs better acting! Check it out.
