I envy you
Today morning i just wanted to stay under the blankets(and hugging one of the cats). First today is Monday , second i'm kinda ill. The only thing which got me out of bed was the though of the 5 weeks to go until i get my winter vacation (the rest of my payed holidays) when i will be able not getting up all day.

All packed and ready to fly to New Zealand (Christchurch) tonight with the activities manager. Just weighed my pack and it's 20kg which pleases me. We're allowed 27kg on one of the internal flights.
It's my first time. We'll spend 2 weeks driving a motor home around the South Island then 2 weeks in the North (sans wheels).
Have heard the sheep are friendly, the beer is good and the wine is getting better.
Looking forward to it.

I did that trip 30 years ago, no 35, it was different in those days, I left Sydney with a 70kg pack, sent 20kg back the first day and chucked another 20kg in the first week. Ran out of money after 3 weeks and worked the south island for another 3 months. Fun times.
Oh yeah and the beer was weak and tasteless, apparently they have improved it since, as my beer at the time was KB (Kiddie Beer) that opinion can be disregarded
Have a great time!

Thanks. I don't have an authoritative source regarding the beer but I'm about to find out the best way.

Shoot. Once we pick up the wheels we are free. Welcome any tips. We are keen hikers but not planning anything too strenuous.

Well, I'm back from my annual jaunt on the Camp Quality esCarpade - an outback motoring adventure raising money for Camp Quality - a charity that brings fun and laughter, hope and optimism to children living with cancer and their families!
The grand total I raised this year was $10673.05, and the total raised for the event was just over $1.14M.
I had a week of trials and tribulations in my '64 Falcon, all caused by the most ridiculous thing you can imagine.
Check out my blog at http://boogermobile.blogspot.com[^] for a full rundown of the week!!
