In a foul mood at the moment and want to scream and shout abuse at the guilty party, but I'm not listening to myself.
I have a prepaid 3G internet dongle with Telstra (f***ing hate them) I used when I was working down in Canberra. Used Telstra cause they have the best coverage, definitely not cause I like them. Cost $180.00 per year for 12GB, they give you your balance in dollars and you work out your data from that. I had $221.xx at $0.0146/MB, so those short of maths I had > 15,000MB left.
Pulled the f***ing thing out of the bag to recharge today, cause that is when my memory said to recharge it and I'm f***ed if I'm giving Telstra their unused data back. I'd stream Youtube drivel till the data ran out before Telstra would get it. So plug it in and it f***ing ran out Wednesday.
Not happy Jan.

Telstra
'nuff said.
Looked at my internet usage three days into my monthly 100Gb allowance - showed I'd used 49% including 29Gb that day
Next day it showed 3Gb for the prev day and 29Gb for that day - at 7:00 am
Today it shows 29% overall.
They can't even f***ing well COUNT

They're f***ed. I have Optus for all our mobile phones and Exetel for my ADSL for almost 10 yesra now.
Aside from this prepaid Telstra internet I got 2.5 years ago I haven't had Telstra since 1998, I hate them.
I've been smashing the downloads this months and am at over 90GB Peak and 90GB Off Peak, I only get 100GB a month for each, month ends next Friday. This costs me $49.50 a month and for the extra $10.00 I get a landline that has 9,000 minutes a month worth of calls to any landline (not starting with 13) in Australia and any Optus mobile. This is Optus resold through Exetel.
Starting Saturday next week I'm paying $75.00 for the ADSL and $10.00 for the phone, it's month to month with no lock in contract and I'm on unlimited internet usage. You know that this means I'll probably only use 40GB a month from now on.

A blast from the past: http://whyihatetelstra.blogspot.com/[^]
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

My Mum always told me it would make me go blind - turns out she may have been right all along.
Have been suffering annoying blurry patches out of my left eye for a while - just been diagnosed with Central serous retinopathy[^] (I hope it's not serous
It seems that this will probably just go away of its own accord, so all should be well.
It also appears it can be brought on by stress.
So I won't be visiting Q&A for a while!

Sounds like you've got your hands full?
Serous-ly I hope things work out for you and it goes away on it's own...good luck!

I'm sure you'll be OK in a few months. Meanhwile, make sure your doctor rules out the possibility of a detached retina. (That requires immediate treatment.)
BTW, corrected link[^].
Good luck and a speedy recovery.

Hi _Maxxx_, Empathies to you; I'm struggling with eye problems right now, myself.
How's your confidence level in the doctor(s) who diagnosed you ?
In my own experience, a year ago, I had a severe (supposedly rare) abreaction to a medicine I was prescribed to help with my chronic (post-cancer survival) insomnia (non-narcotic, non-barbiturate, non-addictive, etc.); among the reactions were dizziness, increase in tinnitus levels, edema, peripheral neuropathy, muscle spasms, and rapid impairment of vision.
I hope and trust you have good medical resources that help you examine your "lifestyle in totality" to put this problem in context of your age, stress-levels, health, immune-response, current medications (and their possible interactions), patterns of exercise, diet, and your modal use of your eyes on average, etc.
to your health, bill

No longer do I have my favourite icon on the left of the tool bar (CP), Google in it's non evil way has shoved an Apps icon there, piss off.
The blasted thing is not in the toolbar management and I therefore I can't delete the dammed thing or move it to oblivion. I don't use your apps, I can't use your apps from work so get the f*** out of the premier position on tool bar, that is reserved for something useful dammit!

Thank you put CP back where it belongs. I love it when a good rant pays off!

and why the hell does the new tab page look now like the google home page?
I used it for and only for my most visited pages (of which the thumbnails are now significantly smaller). If I want to search for something I type it in the omnibox...

Is it worth the update? Does it bog down old devices like Android updates do?

I think it is excellent: like the new look. I have a 4s and it appears to eat the battery so had to switch off loads of stuff (most of which you would turn off anyway).

Meh. Cheese was moved. I kind of like the look, and it hasn't seemed to slow down my machine (an iPad 2). Main decisions points would be can your machine actually be upgraded (can't find the URL but I know that my iPod Touch couldn't be upgraded), and does that security flaw[^] bother you.

Yep - got it and I like it about 95%.
Much, much easier to get to stuff but far too stark and a little hard on the eyes.
Soften it about 10% and it'll be great.
My favourite part is the delicious irony of Apple using the Glass and Metro looks. That's definitely my favourite bit.

OK, I got it too. You're right, way too much white. At least I can turn down the brightness now and save the battery.
Other than that, pretty slick! I particularly like the how Safari works. The control center is also handy.
Overall, I think it is quite an improvemt, though It'll take some time to get used to.
Update
Just noticed the task switcher. Nice, but they imitated Android! Flip to remove. Ha!
Not complaining, it's better if all devices behave in a similar manner.

After installing it, I somehow ended up with more usage space than before.
