Not quite. A simple example would be to write something that would keep track of your workouts and your caloric intake, and it would still be up to you to do the rest of the work so that you can lose the weight.

i would like to request to write some article regarding using datagridview. Including MSDN, very simple use is discussed but no body tells how to deal with complex situations, like using combobox setting its selectedindex property of datagridviewcomboboxcell object, validating date, calculating amounts in columns, and very important how to relate two combobox in two columns, like in 1st columns there are companies in a combobox and in 2nd columns there are brand of those companies in combobox how can we relate combobox to fill only those brand from selected company,

Write the articles. Even if it's not relevant to what I'm doing on a day to day basis, I do enjoy a well written article and will read it.

Do write the article, like Pete has mentioned. It may not be useful for my day-to-day programming purposes, but sounds like something I would find worth reading and other members of this site may find it useful, too.

Definately write the article. There will almost always be someone else who is running in to (or will run in to) a problem the article will help to solve.

I agree that articles should be written, even if they perhaps cover old ground, or state the obvious to many, or are duplicates of others.
What I feel is missing from the site, is the ability to rate an article on its uniqueness, usefulness and relevance.
I'm seeing far too many articles written these days which simply re-tell old stories, and often not very well. They appear to attract swarms who vote 5 across the board and risk muddying the ability to search for genuinely good, useful articles.

I just read the article series The Life of a Project - Issue Tracking by Matt Gullett, and was very impressed. Unfortunately, it stops at Day 5 with listing the final technical requirements. Matt mentioned having Day 5 posted by the following weekend, but this was back in July of '03. Several others have posted in the comments section requesting to see the rest of the series with no reply since then. I know a lot of us really enjoy the series and find it very insightful. Does anyone know if the rest of the series is up somewhere that we just can't find, or if Matt will get a chance to finish the series? Once again, great series Matt!

Id like to learn, if anyone is willing to address the idea, specifically how to hook other processes from c#.
An example would be; how to hook minesweeper, msn, wordpad, word, whatever just the basics on hooking.

I'd love to know if anyone can show how to emulate Google Chromes multi process apps in VB.Net. Just a simple form1, form2 or apps1, apps2 example maybe with a 'task manager' as well. I love the idea of if apps2/form2 crashes it wont take out the whole apps. Multi threading, MDI's or adding new forms just dont cut it.
Any thoughts??

While I'm not going to write an article on how to do this, because it's not that hard to do, I will tell you that you do it by loading each form into its own App Domain, so it occupies its own process space. Therefore, if it crashes, it only takes out the individual form. Have a read up on secondary domains to find out how it's done.

Forms can't be serialised so cant be loaded as a control into another form in an AppDomain.
So.. how do Google get the dipslay on each tab to be in a seperate process?
