This is bizarre!
I generated a new website skeleton last week, built a template for all the basic pages, set up a db connection string (but no connections or recordsets yet) in a config file and included it in the template page, then closed it and went to bed. This morning I opened the project again for the first time, selected Add ASP Page, and added a blank default.asp page to the site. Instead of the normal behavior, it created the page, then popped up a Windows Installer dialog insisting that the feature I'm requesting is on the Access 2000 CD. Cancelling the dialog merely caused it to restart again, without ever mentioning just what it was trying to install. Does anyone have any idea what it installed? Or why?

I get that kind of stuff all the time. MS Office always seems to want to install something for a task it has done hundreds of times before. Seems pretty random and inexplicable to me. I just put in the CD and it goes...

As long as the user's browser is set to the proper locale, you can use the toLocaleString() method on the Javascript Date object in question. If you need more advanced processing, there are several .js include packages out there (just google for 'em.)

Word and Excel files are written in the OLE Structured File Format. The OLE Structured File Format is sort of like a file system inside a file - Storages are like folders and Streams are like files.

I am getting problem on running my web site actual problem in INCLUDE tag. I start byuilding my using "INCULDE FILE" tag and it is ruuning okay on my machine. But when i upload my file to the WEB Server, i got surprise that the Administrator of that Web Server blocked the INCLUDE FILE tag  , they said to me use INCLUDE VIRTUAL tag  . So i change all my INCLUDE FILE tags to INCLUDE VIRTUAL, but the problem is that the INCLUDE VIRTUAL is not running or behaviour of this tag is not same as on WEB Server (on which i loaded my site). But i manage to write INCLUDE VIRTUAL in that way that those file are able to run on the Web Server.
My question is ... what i am missing on my local machine, Is there any service pack required or any thing required on IIS OR site setup making setup in IIS different for VIRTUAL.
I am using Windows2000 Professional + IIS + ASP 3.0
Any help, comments, word will be help full.

Are you asking how to just embed Flash into the Webpage, or how to actually design and develop Flash files and then use them in pages?
If the latter then you have to get pretty serious and spend quite a bit of time, all depends on what you want to do with it of course.
If the former then very simply head on over to MAcromedia.com, go View Source, find the Object tag and cut and paste that. That is the code a browser needs to display a Flash object.
Either way though Macromedia.com is the site you want to visit to start learning Flash. Books, I have no idea. 99% of what you need will be online, most all linked from Macromedia.com

Iam just trying to embed flash images into my web page just to make the page look a bit better.I was going top use applets but they are too slow.

Hello, folks,
I have encountered a peculiar problem involving DHTML+TIME (actually TIME2 in IE6). I have created an animation using the Animate element, like this:

<div id="MyTargetElementId" style="behavior: url(#default#time2)">My animated element</div>
Using JScript, I can assign this animation to any element, and start it:
SlideEffect0.targetElement="MyTargetElementId";
SlideEffect0.from = MyTargetElementId.currentStyle.height;
SlideEffect0.to = "0";
SlideEffect0.beginElement();
I can't, however, create the "Animate" element using the DOM:

It seems it doesn't get the Time2 behaviour associated correctly. I have tried many, many different ways of creating this element using the DOM, including copying a preexisting (working) instance of the element, but I just can't get it to work.
Can anyone explain why, and if there is a solution?

I've run into an oddity I don't understand; perhaps someone can clarify it for me. I started a new site tonight, and want to rely more on CSS than HTML for appearance features. I set all the site-wide defaults (background color, font selections, borders, etc) in the BODY tag. I set up the structure using a table, with a TD block for each region of the site. Each TD block is assigned a class, and the classes are all included in the CSS page. It has been my impression that the settings in the BODY tag will apply to all parts of the site, unless I override them in a specific class for an element.
One of my TD blocks has the class attribute of "menubar", and in the CSS page I've set the text alignment to "center" for the class "menubar." My expectation was that this would override the BODY setting of "left" alignment, causing the text in the TD to be centered within the region. It's not, however - it stubbornly persists in being left-justified. Adding the "align=left" attribute in the HTML accomplishes my goal, but I'd rather do it in CSS. What am I not understanding here?
BTW - this is an ASP project in Visial InterDev 6.0, viewed with IE6SP1.

Just a thought here Roger: If you haven't already, place all attributes you have specified within the body in their own class and see if that helps.
