Absolutely. However, please reconsider using the GPL licence - it's overly restrictive. Consider instead the artistic licence or more simply a 'use and enjoy but don't remove my copyright notices' licence.

Posted a new article yesterday ASP.NET Validators Unclouded[^] and it has to be said that I'm really not fond of the new interface. Two problems in particular:
1) I spend a lot of time formatting the HTML so that I can actually maintain the article. The way it reformats now (particularly removing whitespace, but I'm also not keen on upper-case HTML tags) is ugly at best, unbearable at worst. If I have to make changes then it will have to be to the article as I wrote it, not the edited version, which isn't great news for the editors.
2) It seems to change all ".php" to ".php" meaning that I have a line of code half way down my article saying
Response.Redirect("anvokay.phpx", true);That makes no sense! I assume this has something to do with the fact that the whole site seems to be PHP rather than ASP now, but if you want people to submit ASP[.NET] articles then this isn't a great help 
I haven't noticed anything else... yet... but in short, it would be nice if it actually retained the HTML you give it.

Hit the 'HTML' button in the editor and just use it in non-WYSIWYG mode.
The PHP thing - well - you don't *seriously* expect us to do a full rewrite in a day

I did that. Geez, I'd have been in trouble if I hadn't seen that 
But it still went ahead and reformatted it for me. All my tags became upper-case, the blank lines between paragraphs disappeared and the indent tabs for TD tags got lost as well.

The forum in this article[^] contains a thread discussing the perceived fall in quality of unedited reader contributions. One of the suggestions in the thread is to move unedited articles with a low rating into a separate section of Code Project, in order to reduce 'clutter'.
One possibility would be to move the article into the 'inactive' section if the article had received more than N votes and had a rating less than R. This sounds like it could be automated as part of the rating mechanism. The mechanism could also notify the author so that they could revise and resubmit the article. N (minimum number of votes) would need to be large enough to prevent one or two disgruntled readers from trashing an article by themselves. R sets the required rating for the unedited article to be retained.
This same mechanism could forward or highlight successful unedited articles to the editors. This way, the editors could concentrate on articles that had passed a measure of peer review.
As an example, if N=10 and R=2.0, an unedited article that received 10 votes and still had a rating less than 2.0 would be moved to the inactive section, and the author would be notified. Conversely, if the article had 10 votes and a rating higher than 2.0, it could be added to the 'to-be-edited' list for the editors to look at.
(And yes, Chris, I know your can of spare time is as empty as mine  ; I always feel guilty posting in the suggestions forum  )

Don't feel guilty posting suggestions. I save them all and the good ones will be implemented.
The editors already have a list of good articles essentially using the model you describe. The issue is that there are so many new articles that they are having trouble even keeping up with the direct submissions, let alone the unedited articles.
Having notifications of poor articles is a little tricky. What happens if an article's score fluctuates over the critical point? Obviously you limit the number of emails but then how often do you email an author? How often are articles left in the scrap heap until they are removed? All solvable, but they all need careful thinking about.

I would be interested in knowing (1)At what level the people at CP have finished school. ex. High School, College, Masters etc. (2)Then, how important that person thinks it is to finish each level in terms of becoming/being a great computer programmer.
Note: Question 2 would be with the mindset of whether it would actually help in the process of being a great programmer, not landing a great programming job. Question 2 would also be with the mindset of an all around programmer, not a specific one such as C++, VB, C# etc.

It could be that the article submission wizard either needs to be limited to users with a proven article track record, or they get queued to be reviewed by an editor and then added.

i notice that a post with a single '5' rating will be colored red, but a post with one or even two '1' ratings won't always be colored gray.

From the FAQ:
If a message has been given a score that is below your noise threshold then it will appear dimmed out on the boards. A message must have at least 5 votes and be below your threshold to be grayed out.
Messages that have been voted greater than 4.5 will be marked as red regardless of the the number of votes it has.

If I click on "Send to a friend" on the left side of an article, a form is shown to enter the user's name and email address and the recipient's email address. However, if I'm logged in, I would like to see the user's name and address field initialized with my data.
