But embedded where? Any file needs to exist on the disk so you have no choice but to write it there. If you are thinking of writing into the actual executable so the data is embedded there, then I do not think that is advisable unless you have a thorough understanding of the problems it may cause.
One of these days I'm going to think of a really clever signature.
