The RSS feed was not touched in the redesign.
I'll keep an eye on it my end to see if I can replicate what you're seeing.

Have you heard of the Application Initialization extension for IIS? Whenever a web app starts (e.g., when you modify the web.config or DLL's), this extension allows you to specify which pages to automatically hit so they get compiled before a user visits the app. Haven't used it myself, but I'd like to.

Yep - seen that, but to materially help it would have to hit several hundred pages to build up the cache, since it's the cache building that speeds things uo the most.

Hi CP,
The boxes with headers "Your Filters", "Top Experts in 24hrs" , "Top Experts this month" and one box saying "Your status enables you to edit this question. Alternatively, if the question is incomplete or simply isn't a question, then please report it." in quick answers section are not aligned.
I mean the left border of the boxes saying "Your status enables you" and "Your Filters" are not in the same left border line of the boxes below them.
I am not sure, whether it is a bug or the implementation is like that, but posted because looks odd to me.

I just noticed that when I want to save a article now i'm not finding a add to favorites or add to book marks link anywhere on a page.
I assume that is still one of the items being worked on in the new site version ?
Or am I just not seeing it ?

In the info box to the right of the article title, in the box labelled "bookmark"

The left border of the "New Discussion" button perfectly aligns with the border. The top side of the button does not. The same with the Go button on the right. The page bar (orange) fits perfectly within the border.
In Fluid mode, the last message at the bottom has a bottom border that is a few pixels above the section divider. It would be nicer if they overlapped.

You know there's a per-pixel cost in all of this? Savings had to be made somewhere.

I want to suggest that the comments system in Quick Answers section to be changed to a Live Chat so that the person who asks the question and the one who is answering it can chat live to solve the issue in a short time. In the current system, the person who posts the question does not know whether the person who has posted the solution is still online to ask clarifications or anything to him.

Just my 2cents worth:
The comments system allows for any user to see the real history of discussion on a topic. A chat based system would not be tracking that conversation and would render a high number of answers out of context as the comments and discussion of answers provides that extra information.
I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

If an item in the "Latest Discussions" div contains an item whose text is too wide (i.e. wider than 33% of page width - as can happen when someone pastes a long link that doesn't wrap), there is excess whitespace between the "Post a question" and "Search our articles" headings at the top of the home page. Basically, the "Search our articles" heading (and the rest of the RHS column) is no longer visible unless you increase the width of the browser to close to 1920 pixels.
