I should have guessed.
Most likely just a transient issue.

This article is basically an advertisement. Which might be fine it the link actually went to a live site. Does no one remove dead, obsolete articles?

I've changed my blog (moved to Wordpress) but kept the same URL. So I deleted it and re-added. Now the new entry is not being consumed / read / evaluated. How can I force it? The blog URL is http://blog.andrei.rinea.ro

The Reputation History page does not respect DST and is an hour off right now. Not major but still worth fixing. Thanks Chris/Elina.

I noticed that the other week, then I remembered something about having to tick a thing in your profile to say you are in DST, so I did that and apparently it is still wrong cos I didn't check until just now.
Edit - ^that is a horrible sentence, I hope someone can work out what it is supposed to mean.

Ah thanks for that info. Should help Elina debug the issue. Maybe Chris just dropped the check box there and forgot to tell her to add the code to handle it. That seems just the sort of thing Chris would do.

Hi,
I currently do not have much interest in reading articles, tips etc about Metro apps. Is there an easy way to filter these out from the weekly newsletter?
e.g. !Metro in the 'Newsletter topics' filter would be much simpler than listing all the possible topics I would be interested in.
Thanks advance for any ideas.

In searches, the word NOT omits whatever is following it, but I don't know if it works for what you are trying to do.
I think computer viruses should count as life. I think it says something about human nature that the only form of life we have created so far is purely destructive. We've created life in our own image.

I changed my display name couple of hours ago, but this change doesn't appear in my previous posts. I expected to see see the name update everywhere.
May be it will be good if there is a way to incorporate this.
Thanks

There are several reasons why this doesn't and shouldn't happen. What happens if I search for an article by Sacha Barber in Google (knowing that this was the name he used when he posted the article), only to find that he's changed his name to "The Sacha Article Monster" here in Code Project and all of his articles have been updated to that?

Yeah, that makes sense.

I do a 'search this forum' for 'Mars' and select sort in descending order.
I then pick the reult I want to goto and it displays the page as all posts expanded.
When I correct it to 'normal' and click update it takes me back to the 1st page of that Forum.
It's quite annoying.

I post often from my phone, and I've noticed I tend to make lots of mistakes when doing that (even with phone autocorrect enabled). I don't observe these mistakes immediately, if at all. However, when posting from my computer I try as hard as possible to be as correct as I can.
This being said, could an icon be introduced next to the post subject (or poster name, or anywhere relatively visible), showing whether a user has posted from a mobile device or computer?

I also think we should have a checkbox with "I was drunk at the moment of this post" (default checked) when posting or replying to messages

In DD's case, you can just remove the checkbox and permanently enable that behavior.

Maybe a version of a CAPTCHA test that would act as a surrogate sobriety test?

It's funny that I give two suggestions, one serious and one not, and you both decide to tackle the not serious one, while not mentioning anything about the other!
Great management skills!
Also, to respond in the same manner (i.e. about the CAPTCHA test): The purpose is not to stop our members from Posting Under the Influence, but rather to let the others know that it was Posted Under the Influence

Chris gets all the blame for this one, I'm afraid. I'm just a member, not management.
