Have you tried using the datepicker control from the AjaxControlToolkit? Start with that since it is already built. However, my point still stands, your code should not care what the virtual directory name is. But I don't see the point in that. Are you going to set it for them? That installation program is old school and out of date, and only works with metadata and IIS 6 compatibility and management installed with IIS 7+.
