Hi,

I have an email method written in render event, I dont know but the email is sent multiple times.
Is there any way to avoid page rendering multiple times, or I am using session to control the execution of send email method.

But if the session is there its automatically sending the email. Is there any better solution for this situation.

In render I am capturing the page layout and I am checking for a session, if session is available it has to send the email automatically. But it is sending for multiple times. And there is some email button in its click event too, we have to send the email, but there also it is sending email for multiple times.

If you don't want something to happen then don't code it to happen. You are in complete control of your application, or should be. Look at Page.IsPostback[^]

How to get values from Ajax Editor control inside the Details view???

Hello, I have a Details View on my page. Since I want to Insert/Update the Content, I have Used the Insert and Edit Template Fields and I have Editor Controls in it. Now I want to get the Content of the Editor and pass it to an object. I simply tried to find the Control from the Details View and Cast it to a textbox, but it gives and Error (which is Obvious).... So Now, I'm not able to understand, How should I move ahead???

And the proper place to set the user specific culture and uiculture based on data in de database, ofter the user logs in?

The bad thing is that processes do inherit the language/culture settings from Windows, not from a parent thread. Consequently, you must set that whenever a new thread is started - i.e. at least once for each web page.

Hi, the proper place is inside the function Application_BeginRequest in the global.asax file.

Hi all,
My javascript has a mutidimensional array variable whos content should be filled out by an xmlhttprequest (no ajax preferred) call to a c# web service. The javascript array looks like something below:

How can i convert C# objects into a json response or something like

Any clues, examples can simplify my work or get me start?

retrieving blob data(image) and display in a picture box

my project is based on
asp.net (.net framework 3.5)
language C#
database mysql
the table contains around 50 records of teachers where two field hold blob datatype to store images of teachers(passport size)and signature. I could store the images by the following code

HttpPostedFile postedFile = fluTeacherImage.PostedFile;
Stream stream = postedFile.InputStream;
BinaryReader bReader = new BinaryReader(stream);
byte[] bytesImage = bReader.ReadBytes((int)stream.Length);

it stores the image in the database fine. to that i called my database access class's method. i cant post it here because its too long.
I am using mysql connector 6.4.4

my next task is to retrieve the image from the database and display in a picture box in a webpage which shows the completed profile of a teacher.note that i am just storing the image as blob (not storing its size). I need to get the blob from the db and convert it to byte array or something to display it in the picture box.

please help me as soon ass possible because I couldn't find a suitable code relevant to this

in the ordinary case when the image is stored on the server hard disk, the client has the html of

<image src="request path" />

. But what makes the image to be displayed?

the request(src property) comes back with a response of type image/imagetype and content of the bytes that represent the image.

so, all you have to do is to response the a specific request by setting the content type of the response to image/imagetype and write the bytes in the response.
you can achieve this using an HttpHandler. see this article Httphandlers ASP.NET 2.0[^]

There are 2 versions of Ajax Control Toolkit, 1 for framework 2.0-3.5 and one for 4.0

So if your using framework 4, then you have referenced the wrong system.web.ext which your post says is 3.5, and you need to remove the reference, and add the 4.0 version.

if your using framework 2.0-3.5, then you compiled the wrong version of Ajax Toolkit, so you need to compile the right one, and reload the binaries in the Bin Folder.

Hi, I have a problem with adding users to my database that I have created using the aspnet_regsql. The problem is that I can't seem to make it add users into the database using the WAT.

I can connect to the database using sql connection in c sharp and I can see the database from the database explorer.

maybe something is wrong with my code?

You will need an instance of the class in which the bPopulate method is defined; since the method is not Shared, it must be called from an instance.
