I was reading the articles in the 'Best VB.NET article of July 2011' survey and came across: Database Mirrors with Differing Vendors[^]
That seems to me a purely SQL article so I'm a bit confused as to why it is in the VB.NET survey?

Yeah I know but I would guess that there is some sort of moderation for the article's chosen for the survey's.

Nope. It seems that it's not just the voters who don't read the articles.

The moderation process is usually quite fine combed. Checking articles for appropriateness of category, checking the individual votes on each to make sure they are genuinely "worthy" of being nominated, scanning through the composed full list to see there are no double entrants, moving to a new category, repeat, scan all categories, make sure no repeat article is in two categories at once (minus the Overall Competition), recheck times and dates, ensure all contest show up simultaneously.
It's a fine process. I will ensure it is honored with increased fervor and meticulousness.

It happened to me, same server Web24, occurred when using the 'Next' in Q&A.
We've slipped a cog.

Using Windows 7 and IE9, selecting an item from the dropdown menu under my user name (top right hand corner) has become hit and miss. It takes conscious effort to move the mouse quickly enough to get onto the menu before it disappears.
Steps to recreate: Hover over menu, move mouse slowly downwards. Menu disappears before first item is selected. Move mouse up and down and the menu appears and disappears, remaining tantalisingly close to being selected, all the while taunting and mocking me... wait... too much?

Try Ctrl+F5. I updated the CSS a number of times without diong a full version number update, so you may need to kick it a little.
I've tested on IE8 and 7 and it's very different for me. Annoyingly different in 7 - almost like an old man wearing his pants too high - but it works consistently on that poor excuse for a browser.
It's interesting, though, since I remember being excited by IE7.

I've done a bunch of Ctrl-F5's... still the same for me. It's like there's a little gap between the bottom of my user name, and the top of the drop down menu, so as I move the pointer down, it's losing focus and picking up the ad below it...

 For some reason I thought you were on IE8.
OK, I will tweak for IE9 to bring the menu closer. IE9 is the one version of IE that's sensible about this for me. I guess I have a bad install or something.

[EDIT] IE 8  (I'm at work) on Win XP [/EDIT]
Ctrl+Z for Cut/delete/paste - major
1. Type some text, then select part of it, and cut/delete/paste text.
2. Hit Ctrl+Z immediately, it will undo your change as expected.
3. Repeat Ctrl+Z after 5 seconds or so, it won't work anymore.
This can get quite nasty if you paste the wrong text in the middle of a message, or worse, delete text accidentally and can't restore it.
I suspect this is related to the auto preview, which I think happens every 2 seconds or so?
Ctrl+Z for regular typing - minor
1. Type any text in the Subject line and hit Ctrl+Z, it will disappear as expected.
2. Do the same thing in the Message text, it won't disappear, even if you do it immediately. You have to delete it manually.

Spent the afternoon on this one and have come to the conclusion that, again, IE bites the big one. It's truly painful.
The issue?
If I do
$('#Preview')[0].html(result);
where Preview is a DIV, then the TextArea element gets Alzheimer's. They are unrelated. I'm updating the innerHTML of a DIV and not touching the TextArea element. Nonetheless, it's full amnesia and no Ctrl-Z.
