I try to write Mobile application or program that switch off the phone in depend on the Time so that if student forect to swith off the phone before a lecture than the phone switch off automatically and after they finish it switch it on>>

can any one help me >> if you any artical , book , or code can help to make that program

Use CeSetUserNotification to activate your program at a particular time of day.

Then, use TAPI to turn the cellular radio off.

If so...

WP7 uses a Silverlight .NET runtime ~equivalent to Silverlight 3.0. You'll need to learn Silverlight programming.

This is the forum for all the Mobile OSes. We don't have separate forums for iOS, Android or WP7. That does not mean that all of them are dying.

Hi,

I am working for a digital publishers and we are planning to develop an iphone app for one of our magazines. At the moment we are looking for all the options available.

1.) - We code ourselves using XCode IDE, Objective C programming language.

2.) Adobe has launched a product called Digital Publishing Suite but there is some monthly cost associated with it. (Not sure what the cost is at the moment..) and they only do it for ipad and not for iphone. Where as we are looking for a solution for both ipad and iphone.

3.) Looked at another company that provide similar solution like adobe i.e. Alligator Digital Magazine and the minimum they cost is $300 per month for 50GB online storage and it goes upto $2600 per month for 200GB online storage. + £100 per hour support rates.

So am just wondering, what would be the best option for us in longer run. If we develop our own app inhouse - i think it will cost us quite less in longer run. Not sure if there are any cost involved other than hosting charges if we do it in house development.

Please feel free to share your views. If you have the resources - would you prefer developing the app or using third party tool to develop quick and easy app which might cost more in the longer run with monthly payment.

Hi,
Is there anyway to download the visual express 2010 windows phone 7 on xp pro machine?
I would like to start learning WP7 but it seems that I can not run the .exe because only windows 7 and vista is supported and not XP pro.
Any t houghts please?

I've done it before, and the results are not pretty. You can compile programs and you can deploy them to a real device, but you cannot debug them on XP. As already mentioned this isn't supported.

i m connected Sony Ericcsion X10 Mini.
when i m execute adb devices query for finding connected android device to pc,its found found in adroid device list.

i check the adb interface in device manager,its adb interface not occur in ADB Interface option.

Sony Ericcsion X10 Mini adb interface installed but it view with name of Sony Ericcsion sa0101.

ithink thats why we can't detect it by adb device command and eclipse to not detect it.

please help me how can i detect it ?

hey guys..i am new in objective c..i am developing my first project and there i want to send a image and some texts there..for that i use sharekit.. i can send the texts but not image..it adds the image as an album..but i want to add image on left next to it title and under the title will be link..we can see it everyday when we check our facebook wall..so how i can do that..any help will be appreciated.

Hi I am currently developing a mobile application within Flashbuilder 4.5 Pro. However I am having issues as I cannot seem to add a drop down list to my application and have it work properly. I have created the code below and this effectively creates a drop down list and populates it with items, however when the user clicks on an item it is not selected in the field.

This also happens when I am testing it on my machine and the only way to select the item is to click on the list and then use the down arrow on the keyboard which I cannot do in the application. Can someone please help me????

hi,

I have been developing programs for my PPC in windowCE using Visual Studio 2005. Now I want to use the SoundPlayer class, which is in the System.Media namespace. I have the statement "Imports System.Media", but when I try to build the program I get the error message, "The type or namespace name 'Media' does not exist in the class or namespace 'System' (are you missing an assembly reference?)"

So, I select menu items "Project -> Add Reference...", and under the .NET tab, System.Media is not listed.

I checked my PC's Add/Remove Programs list, and I do have .NET 2.0 installed.

What am I missing, and what do I have to do to get access to the System.Media namespace??

SoundPlayer class and others of System.Media namespace are supported in .NET Compact Framework 3.5 and up. That is probably why you don't see it in your project.
