The stupid thing is, is that when viewing an article and you move the mouse over the Q&A menu in a yellow box it even says: "Ask a question about this article".

It's been going on since Q&A started - I have a folder with standard responses, one of those is for just that.
Don't post this under Questions & Answers - if you got the code from an article, then
there is a "new message" button at the bottom of that article, which causes an email to be sent to the
author. They are then alerted that you wish to speak to them.
Posting this here relies on them "dropping by" and realising it is for them.
Real men don't use instructions. They are only the manufacturers opinion on how to put the thing together.

Yeah Also I have seen some. Some Enquirers put the Other member's name in question title & asked question which related to that member. Yesterday I have seen this[^](Actually DD found this first)

Note that you will only see it if you are logged in. I ran into that problem once and it was because I was not logged in.

Using FF3.6 on C/C++/MFC forum, reading a reply, wanting to vote, I got another first: a little Window popped up, saying: Vote Failed. You voted 5. Rating now 5 (votes: 1). With a "Close Window" button. The button works fine. A ticket wasn't mentioned. You ought to get one anyway.
[ADDED] After a page reload, I was able to get my vote recorded.[/ADDED]

This happens when, for whatever reason, the javascript for doing the Ajax vote fails and so the voting mechanism falls back to the old, non-ajax way.
I can see the error in the logs and will get to it.

Would be neat to see the results of a poll that asks if members have computer science degrees. Options might be:
- I write software and I have a CS degree.
- I write software and I don't have a CS degree.
- I DO NOT write software and I have a CS degree.
- I DO NOT write software and I don't have a CS degree.

Rather than combining two yes/no questions this gem[^] would suggest a much more informative 0-to-3 position on every axis in a 32-dimensional space. It might be a bit over the top for a home page poll...

Much much worse is the fact that the same "color scheme" (or lack thereof) is used in Tips&Tricks. However I'm not convinced it relates to the magenta hyperlink fad, it could do, but I'm not sure it does. Anyway, white on red (for Cancel) would be as nice as white on green (for Post).
