hi,
i'm currently using waspmote IDE to write a source code to send or receive data.Unfortunately, my program doesn't work and i don't know where the problem lies.Here's my code:
void setup(){
USB.begin();
USB.println("USB port started...");
USB.close();
BT.ON();
if(!BT.init()) USB.println("Init OK");
}
int n=0;
void loop()
{
if(!BT.scanNetwork()) USB.println("Scan OK");
else USB.println("Scan failed");
for(int l=0;l<BT.devices_found;l++)
{
n=0;
USB.print("---- DEVICE ");
USB.print(l,DEC);
USB.print(" ---- ");
USB.print("MAC: ");
for(int m=0;m<12;m++)
{
USB.print(BT.discovered_devices[l].mac_address[m],BYTE);
}
USB.print(" -- NAME: ");
while(BT.discovered_devices[l].name[n]!='\0')
{
USB.print(BT.discovered_devices[l].name[n],BYTE);
n++;
}
n=0;
USB.print(" -- CoD: ");
while(BT.discovered_devices[l].CoD[n]!='\0')
{
USB.print(BT.discovered_devices[l].CoD[n],BYTE);
n++;
}
USB.println("");
delay(2000);
}
if(!BT.createConnection("0003190D1DB9","02"))
{
USB.println("");
USB.print("--- CONNECTION -- MTU: ");
USB.print(BT.connection_mtu[0],BYTE);
USB.print(BT.connection_mtu[1],BYTE);
USB.println(BT.connection_mtu[2],BYTE);
}
else USB.println("Connection failed");
delay(1000);
if(!BT.sendData("test!")) USB.println("Data sent OK");
else USB.println("Error while sending data");
delay(2000);
}

Hi,
you did not mention which mobile device this is, which operating system it uses, what program language you're using, what is and isn't working; all you did was dump some code.
So all I can offer is some general advice:
1.
don't create a large amount of code out of the blue; start small and check it works well before you let it grow larger.
2.
if you don't understand what is going on, improve the observability; I prefer adding log statements, logging to either the display or a file (or both). Each log statement generates one line of output, showing progress and intermediate results when sprinkled around. I know it takes a little effort to provide such, I also learned it pays off right away. And most often it works way better than all the tricks of a debugger, unless you're a real debugger wizard.

Good one. I didn't recognize it, as I didn't read the unformatted code in that thread when I first saw it. Thanks.

No !
It's a native control, so you can't do it, you have to write you own custom control for the same.

The SIP is meant only for entering information into controls and goes away once it is no longer needed. Making it smaller just makes it harder to use.
(Yes... you can use it for input in other ways, like in a game, but really... you shouldnt)

some smart phone installed with 3th party input method (e.g. chinese pinyin). they are different from one to one. so i think its hard to do some thing with them.

Hi. I'm very curious about writing a Today Screen App. using C#. I want to know how to write applications like ThrottleLauncher or Point UI (applications with widgets, especially XML widgets). (Maybe not good but)I can write applications for Windows Mobile using C#, but I don't know anything about writing Today Screen App. for WM. I searched a lot about a tutorial or source code for this, I couldn't find anything. All I found is just one application and writen in C++.
Can you please give me link for a tutorial or source code for writing Today Screen applications for Windows Mobile (with widgets)? Can you please show me a path to do this?
By the way, I'm not trying to write something and earn money from it. Proof: as you know Windows Phone 7 is coming very soon and even if I write something, I will be for WM 6.5.X and will be junk for Windows Phone 7 users
Thanks

Well you could try some more Google searches. I would expect that if anyone knew how to do this they would have responded by now, so it looks like you are on your own.

I work at a company that provides C# software solutions for GPS Tracking. They have recently asked me to write some software to use on a laptop that will read location information and report movement. The software will read the GPS information from a plug-in USB device and send the data through TCP to a server.
So My Question.
If you were targeting mobile platforms, and your company have invested heavily in C#. What platform would you use for development? Mono?
Or would you move away from C# for another programming language.
Thanks

What do you mean by mobile platforms?
If it is running Windows Mobile or something else Windows CE based, would the .Net Compact Framework work?
Alternativly, would the .Net Micro Framework[^] do what you need (again, assuming your hardware is compatible).
If you're targeting Linux or Mac OS, Mono might work, if they have implemented what you need to use (in fairness, unless you're doing something odd or very uncommon, this should probably be fine).

Thanks you for you answer. I was planning on targeting laptops, Mini Computers, Smart Devices and iPads(and similar). Most of the new 4G dongles come with built-in GPS, so any device that can use them and other who are rich targets.
Thanks

Hi. You make a application using the object LocalDataCache.sync
Dim syncAgentS As ServerDataCacheSyncAgent
' Chiamare SyncAgent.Synchronize() per iniziare il processo di sincronizzazione.
' La sincronizzazione aggiorna solo il database locale e non l'origine dati del progetto.
syncAgentS = New ServerDataCacheSyncAgent
Dim syncStatsS As Microsoft.Synchronization.Data.SyncStatistics = syncAgentS.Synchronize()

Foxit and Adobe both have SDKs for writing a PDF viewer on Windows Mobile (which I presume would run on a generic CE 5.0 device) however, their royalty rates are a little steep considering how rarely this is used on most of our devices (but heavily used on others.)
Are there any other quality PDF reader SDKs for CE 5.0? (Quality being heavily emphasized--a while back we ran into issues on our XPe based device with SDKs failing with several PDFs.)
While on the subject, can anyone endorse a high quality imaging SDK for CE 5.0? (For reading and manipulating on screen a variety of images.)

I have got 4 gps coordinates of a building - as it has 4 corners. What I want to do is - I want to creat a rectangle from this 4 coordinates and check in the application if my heading is the same as my bearing from the building if yes I will do some action if not - no.
How can I do this? I couldn't find anything about this on the internet.
