I'd say a scientology library but that's a collection of sci fi.

Microsoft introduced a number of interesting technologies with .NET 3.0 including WPF, WCF and WF that have generated a lot of noise. But also quietly included what was a powerful technology, UI Automation (UIA), which slipped under many people’s radar. UIA is a .NET library that allows you to identify UI controls, get their property values and manipulate them on Windows platform. It represents a big step towards having a usable programmatic interface to the Window’s UI. Prior to UIA one could have used the Windows Message API, but it dealt with very low level C functions. As one would expect, functional test automation is a natural way in which such a library can be used. White does that.

Hi all,
I feel worriness about my hardware lock (copyright protecter) refrence in my project! imagine that I have a project which refrenced an assembly, as we know assmblies must be registered by regsvr32...
now if someone register cracked assembly what happend?
Is there any way to force project use certain assembly? i heard about crc checking... but no recource for this reason!
pleeeeeaaseeeeeee help me on this

That depends on a lot of factors, but in general, it's like stealing a car. There's a huge checklist on security on MSDN, but this would be the most relevant part for the moment;
Strong named assemblies are signed with a digital signature. This protects the assembly from modification. Any tampering causes the verification process that occurs at assembly load time to fail. An exception is generated and the assembly is not loaded.

Are you talking about C#? Assemblies are not registered with regsvr32. If anything they are registered with gacutil. You do realize that anyone can get the source of a C# DLL using reflector right?

look for example my application uses lpl.ocx ... well now I want to be sure that this lpl.ocx is the true one like this

actually i need a way to check current assembly used in my application that could check assembly in c# code with digital signed number as I mentioned.

MD5 is more often used for verifying that files have not been tampered with. CRC is typically for verifying transmission of data.
Calculate md5 checksum/[^]

Seriously though, if he said he didn't understand what a meta tag was I would've steered him along the right path. Imho, there are too many "developers" @ CP's forums looking for a free handout. We'd only be doing them a disservice by writing their urgent codez.

Thanks for your reply....i dont want to create a favicon. I have done a webbrowser project in c#.net windows application. So i must be having browser control in my webbrowser project. If i type google.com i want to display the favicon image next to the url....what ever website if i browse respective favicon of that perticular website to get displayed in next to the url. Like how you can view in mozilla or any other browsers. you can view. Hope you can understood.
