I have created a dynamic table and i one of its td I want to give link for another table which is actually a html table created on aspx page.

Don't forget to return false from the MyFunction() to avoid postback(or default behaviour).

I am on the development of new asp.net website.

When i run the application its working fine while navigating other pages. but when i publish the website in IIS 7.0(running in my lap) a particular page is not opening and showing error

Server error
The resouce could have been renamed or moved...

Make sure You've published your master pages if any and page layouts so they
are accessible to all.

I have a scneraio where I need to show the search results in a table. The headers consists of column span in more than one rows.

I will try to draw the basic layout here but the actual layout would be more complex than this.

    <td colspan=2 border=1> Column1</td>

</tr>
<tr border=2>
    <td border=1> Col11 </td>
     <td border=1>col12</td>
    <td border=1> col21</td>

</tr>
</table>

The count of columns will be dynamic.

Now, I have two questions.

1. Please let me know if going for a gridview will be appropriate to do this?
2. The data that will be loaded could be huge. I cannot go for a paging approach. Please let me know if we can do a rendering whenever we have the data rather than waiting for full data to be buffered and then render at one shot. I am thinking about features such as response.flush

Please let me know any thoughts.

You can achieve this in GridView in just a few lines of code.
Following articles will help you in doing that wholly or partially
based on what exactly you need to do.

Well, the huge data is not defining the size of your data you want to display. Definitely you can do incremental loading also.

You can google a bit to get the info on incremental page load.

The only issue is: if your data has millions of records, clients browser may crash depending on their system configuration.

Hi guys,
i have a datagrid, i would like to get the value of one column
when user clicks on that row(item) so that i can show the details
of that row(item) on the next page. I have tried the below and
am not so sure how to proceed:

Assuming your DataGrid is bound to a DataView with a unique ID value for each row,
include a Hypelink in your DataGrid columns - say hypDetails, maybe within a template column -
then you can put in your ItemDatBound code:

DataRow dr = e.Item.DataItem.Row;
HyperLink hypDetails = CType(e.Item.FindControl("hypDetails"), HyperLink);
hypDetails.NavigateUrl = "details.aspx?id=" & CStr(dr("ID"));

This will pass the ID value of that row as a parameter to the next page (details.aspx)

I'm sending mail with excel attchment and it's working fine when I run it from my local
machine. but if I try to access it from another machine it's giving me this
Error:
Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {00024500-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} failed due to the following error: 80070005 Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)).

Error coming on first line of below code

i have given all rights still error is coming Frown | :(

It means that your application user does not have necessary permission to open an excel instance. Open DCOM Config, and Grant Launch & Activation permisson, and Access permission to Microsoft Excel Application.
