It state's that there is 1 answer but none are displayed (in reality there really is a answer)
How to reproduce:
Go to my profile's comments posted[^]
Then click on the last comment (first in the row) view link.
What happened:
The OP posted a answer commenting on the answer given.
I pointed out that the OP should use the comment feature for that.
When going back to the question it seems he did so and deleted his answer therefor deleting my comment. So when I go to the answer in the way described I guess a error happens and for some reason only the question and none of the answers get displayed.

For me, it says there are 2 answers, and I see two answers.
Do you have anything set in your filter (top right)

Nope nothing set in the filter.
Now it does say 2 answers (I guess someone added a answer since I posted here) but I still don't see them.

[EDIT]I get it on web21 / web24 (haven't landed on any others after countless refreshes) and the good old magic ctrl+F5 doesn't work  [/EDIT]

This has probably been asked before but it has occurred to me that in addition to the abilities to 'Improve' questions and answers and Delete them, might it not be reasonable to also allow 'Mark as Answered'.
I have encountered situations in the past where this would have been appropriate and have just seen a prime example.
An answer was posted to a question, through which (together with several comments) the OP was able to resolve their problem. The OP even commented that he had resolved the problem, due to the answer, and was advised that all the thanks required would be to mark it as answered. The OP then proceeded to vote it 4 and not mark as answered.
People still post answers to 'Answered' questions anyway, so I do not see that allowing this would do any harm.

I don't really agree that this should be added. I think it should be completely up to the original poster whether or not an answer is marked as accepted (and if it *is* marked as accepted, it should automatically be voted a 5).
I also think that only one response to a question should be marked as the accepted.

I'm not sure we need/want the accepted stuff.
If it's there, yes, it is in hands of the OP and nobody else.
IMO more than one answer can be accepted; answers can complement each other, or offer alternatives.
The OP can ask what he wants, different people can answer whatever they like, but the OP would only be allowed to accept one answer? I fail to see the logic in that. Programming isn't math, there sometimes are several perfectly good answers, and the OP may well be capable of recognizing that.

Small detail: If I make a comment to my own answer, then I am sent an email notification.
Isn't it possible to check if the answer poster is the same person as the one commenting so you can avoid sending emails to yourself?

I've noticed that quite often (especially with new questions in QA), two people will answer the question at precisely the same time, with basically the same answer.
While it's not a disadvantage for the OP to receive the same answer twice, it seems like a waste of time for one of the two people submitting the answer.
What do the rest of you think? Do you agree or do you think it's unimportant/irrelevant?

Just means that great minds think alike, each gives confidence to the OP that they are right, and having things worded slightly differently may help further the understanding.

Really? How about "allocating a question", giving you sole answer rights (for a limited amount of time), so nobody else can start typing an answer. Probably opens up a new box of cans of worms...

Something like this did exist in the early days, when it would show a message like "Locked by MrX, lock expires in 10 minutes", or similar wording. I suspect it caused some troubles and was thus removed.
It's time for a new signature.
