Hi all
This is my first post in this forum 
Just a small question. Say test = Boolean.
In C# i can do if (test) to do an if.
Can I do If test Then this in VB.NET? Does it have same function? I cant test this as it is part of code generation, but it does compile fine 
A simple yes/no appreciated

Yes, with or without parentheses works fine for VB.NET.

I have this VB app. When I use my exit-button to close it down everything is fine, but when I use the X-button in the top right corner, the window disappears, but leaves a process running.
How do I fix this?

Sounds to me like you might have one of the following:
1 - A form that is hidden but not unloaded (there is a difference).
2 - An object variable that has not been set = to Nothing when you are done with it.

Ah, there is a form that is hidden (frmComSelect in the code below). But how do I close it? I have a hard time finding anything useful in MSDN.
The app is designed like this:
First a window is displayed prompting the user to make a selection.
Thereafter, the main window is displayed.

You would use frmComSelect.Unload

Ok here is the setup. Myself and a few of my friends are new to .net but we all know c++ quite well and one person knows vb. I have created a class in c++ that I would like to inherit into a vb program so that vb can create and call functions in the class. I am under the impression that this can be done with cross language inheritance, but I can't find any information about it and I have no idea how to do it. Any information would be appreciated.

You can do that easily if you use the C++ managed extensions provided by .NET. Visit the resources here at CodeProject[^] for an introduction to Managed C++. For the most part, after you have a manged assembly it is only a matter of making a reference to it and deriving from it, regardless of the language you want to use.

Hello,
I have a VB dll which is invoked from VC client. VB dll is a COM component and it displays a form to input data.
The problem is that most of the times, whenever the user clicks the mouse outside the VB dialog, the from goes nehind the vc frame.
the VB form is loaded as modal still it happens.
Any suggestions.

If you want it for the web, see your repeat post below and Chris's suggestion.
If it's for a Win32 client, consider using GDI+ and painting onto the form directly.

If we go one step back, to making the graph it self.

2D bar graphs on an HTML page are easy...
1 - Create a table that has as columns rows as you need data columns.
2 - Create a gfew gif images that are 1 pixel high and as wide as you need the data column to be.
3 - Figure the biggest size you need to hold all your data and create your table to hold that size.
4 - Figure each of the other data points as a percentage of the highest value.
5 - Place each of the images into the table column, and set it's height equal to the percentage of that data point to the largest number.

VB6 or VB.NET?

The application is VB
it is a forms based.
and its VB6
I basically have two arrays , one for X-axis and one for y-axis.
