See here[^]
I have deployed this page to enable you to see what my problem is.
(it will not be the final form, I am waiting to get the proper images sorted, but these will do as example).
if you hit the left or right arrows then the image moves the correct way, but the arrows are replaced by the words left and right and they won't come back.
Not exactly what I am after.
Here is the code on the HTML page...
<div id="dhtmlgoodies_slideshow">
<div id="previewPane">
<img alt="image" src="gallery/image1_big.jpg"/>
<span id="waitMessage">Loading image. Please wait</span>
<div id="largeImageCaption">This is the caption of image number 1</div>
</div>
<div id="galleryContainer">
<div id="arrow_left"><img alt="left" src="gallery/arrow_left.gif"/></div>
<div id="arrow_right"><img alt="right" src="gallery/arrow_right.gif"/></div>
<div id="theImages">
<!-- Thumbnails -->
<a href="#" onclick="showPreview('gallery/image1_big.jpg','1');return false"><img alt="image1" src="gallery/image1.jpg"/></a>

How do I get the arrows to stay as arrows?

Dave, change both the lines in your js file
from
this.getElementsByTagName('IMG')[0].src = 'images/' + this.id +
to
this.getElementsByTagName('IMG')[0].src = 'gallery/' + this.id +
then your left and right arrows appear. Also, your web server is showing a security issue insofar that the directory of folders is displayed.

Thanks, I new there had to be something obvious I had missed!
As for the security issue, I will have to contact the hosting company tomorrow.

They might tell you to set them yourself. Set this via your FTP program (FileZilla for example).

Hi,
Though the ques is more related to client installation, than web installation, I could not find a better place to post
Question:
Whenever I do a new release of my product, I need to install the same on around 300 clients for each customer. Is there any way to automate
a) previous client removal
b) new client installation

Yes
If your CPMRU(mind-reading) unit is functioning as well as you expect ours to be, you'll already have read the remainder of the answer from my mind.
Enjoy!

The subject says it all, ClickOnce. With ClickOnce you don't have to push updates to all of the clients, you can set the application to check and retrieve any updates before it starts.

How about installing/distributing the product, and to update only components of that installation?
I imagine that replacing a few class-libraries would be simpeler than doing a complete rollback of a previous installation.

I need to programatically get all child requests that will be generated when a particular URL is opened in Internet explorer.
eg. stylesheets, javascripts, images etc.
Anything that the browser may request after I pass a URL to it.
Note that I will not actually be opening the url in a browser. I need to make a piece of code to which the input will be a url, and output would the list of child-requests.
Any idea, how this can be achieved.
|
|
|
|
|
Well you code will need to fetch the document
pointed to by the url then parse the document
to find stylesheets, javascripts, images etc,
then parse out the address they point to.
And dont forget requests which may be generated
by javascript(xhtmlreq) , also the stylesheets
and external javascripts may generate further
requests.

Hello codeproject professionals,
Please help me in :
"When I write in a textbox, I want to show the words written in the same page without posting the page".
The process is occurring simultaneously that is: "When a user is writing in the textbox, the words written I can make them displayed in the same page in other place". See example:

?
What are you asking?
Of course the words appear in the same page, you wouldn't be able to see them otherwise.
Please be a little more specific, we are here to help, but we cannot read minds.

When you look at the source code, the HTML is there for you to see. As is any references to javascript. Look for that textbox and see where the code employed takes you. Then ask again where you get stuck. But don't forget to include an example of code where you are stumped (note NOT all the code - just the relevant bits which stumps you).

Here is a very simple example ...
<script>
func=function (arg){
d = document.getElementById("div1")
d.innerHTML = arg.value
}
</script>
<body>
<div id="div1"></div>
<input type="textbox" onkeyup="func(this)">
</body>
Hope it helps.

You would have to monitor the text boxes' onKeyUp event. For every invoke of the event you would copy the content of the respective text box and represent in the respective area.
Example:
function copy(x,y)
{
var text=document.getElementById(x).value;
document.getElementById(y).innerText = text;
}
The above should be placed in a script tag preferably within your head tag. Then add the following code to the respective textboxes:
<input type="text" name="txt1" id="txt1" value="" onKeyUp="copy(this.id, 'destination_id');" />

At first i made the webpage in MS FrontPage 2003 and kept the font Calibri for the whole site. That used to appear on the web on every PC which had this font. But the PCs lacking this font would not display the text in Calibri but to any default settings text.
Whats the solution to it?
Secondly now I am making a site on Dreamweaver CS3 using CSS. I have set the font calibri in the style sheet and it is appearing to me when i view the site in my browser but when i upload the site on the web the desired font doesn't appears? Any Solutions?

supply a link to that font and get them to download it.

You can equally import the font using CSS. Which means you have to upload the font itself to the site. In your css you can do this:
@font-face {
src:url("path/to/font.ttf");
fontFamily: YourFontFamily;
}
selector {
fontFamily: YourFontFamily;
}
|
|
|
|
|
I have this stuff in my "FontStyleSheet.css" but stilll the font is not Calibri on the site. I have the .ttf file in the root folder as mentioned here.
//
@charset "utf-8";
.FontStyleSheet {
font-family: Calibri;
font-size: 12px;
}
@fontface
{
font-family:Calibri
src: url("C:/Users/Raza/Desktop/IEEE test/Calibri.ttf")
}
selector
{
font-family:Calibri
}
//
|
|
|
|
|
First off, Lets me understand your stylesheet.
.FontStyleSheet is the class of the tag you want to give a font of Calibri. If this is so then your css should look like this:
@charset "utf-8";
@fontface{
font-family:Calibri;
src: url("Calibri.ttf");
}
.FontStyleSheet {
font-family: Calibri;
font-size: 12px;
}
Note that the Calibri.ttf file should be in the same location as the FontStyleSheet.css file
