What did you use to search? When I search google for eval databind, at least half of the results on the first page have examples.

Hi,

I have created a C# ActiveX control and I am trying to access its properties and methods using javascript exactly as described in this mini article http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/UploadFile/dsandor/ActiveXInNet11102005040748AM/ActiveXInNet.aspx

However, I fail to access any properties/methods of the control and the javascript does not display an error msg

Any Ideas? Thank you

Can anyone direct me to a GOOD, THOROUGH example of using modal forms in VB.net? I've Googled it but I can't seem to find anything that works. They always seem to leave out some important parts. I'm relatively new to VB.net and I need some real guidance, not just partial snippets.

This is ASP.NET forum so I am assuming you are talking about modal dialog box.

If you want to use jQuery dialog box then following link will help.

I am running a simple, single page asp.net website with four webzones with two user controls within two of those zones. One user control contains a calendar and the other contains an image control.

(This is just an exercise from 70-562 training kit - ASP.NET 3.5)

I am using the asp.net dev server built into VS2008. The first time I run the app the page display fine, but if I close the controls in the page (aka as the end-user might) while the app is running, exit the browser and restart the app, the second and subsequent times the page appears blank. (Refreshing makes no difference.) Even if I close, exit VS and reload the app, it still runs with a blank page from thereon.

The behaviour appeared to be that IE8 is retrieving pages from the cache rather than the response, but I've cleard the cache, etc.

I deleted the project and re-wrote it from scratch and it again ran fine, until I closed the controls when the app was running, so this would seem to indicate a problem that is occuring <i>after</i> the ASPNETDB.MDF database in App_Data folder of the site has been built!?!

Anyone else had this issue?

I believe the need to AJAXDatepicker will be because you don't want a server side picker!
In that case, as suggested above, pick any client side datepicker. There are few at this very site also.

Further, if you are getting some error with one you have, looks like error is pretty straight forward and you should be able to resolve it. Or is it not your code and you are stuck up?

Hello Guys,

I have a LinkButton in a DataList which displays personID from personOrders table. This field referenced personID from persons table. Now I need to replace the personID here with personName field. How do I go about it?

use inner join in your qry and fill your likk like this
<asp:likkbutton id="lnk_name" runat="server" text="<%#Eval("personName ")" %=""> >

SELECT personID , personName
FROM dbo.personOrders INNER JOIN
dbo.persons ON dbo.personOrders.personID = dbo.persons.personID

Check W3schools website for validation in javascript.

Use ASP.NET validator,assign a groupname to the validator control and assign the same ot validation button.
If you want to do it from JS only, then have a JS function which will check your textbox and show a message or act accordingly

I have used AutoCompleteExtender, but how can i handle error if there is any error thrown from webservice.

You can catch async errors via PageRequestManager class. That sits on client site and exposes few events that helps us in such scenarios.
