Yeah, second one seems to have been addressed. And I can now see the "Improve Question" button. Though, if I didn't have permission, perhaps I would still see that dangling pipe... not sure.

Yep you would. It's in the queue.

There is a question Round Edge Button[^].
When I looked at it in the list, there is a count of 60 answers (Most Viewed[^] rank 7 at the moment).
One thing is, when I open the question, the answers count on top of the question only shows 20, the number of answers on the actual page. Wouldn't it be better, if there is always the total count of answers?
The other thing is, there are 4 pages. When there are 20 answers per page, I expected 3 pages. When looking on the 4th page, there is answer 61. The answer is deletet, but shown as answer 61, so something is wrong with the total count on the list page?

Nice catch! I'll add it to the list.

Our current implementation is a bit unintuitive. What we're trying to do is show the total number of valid answers on both the question view page and listing page. So no, it's not a bug. We also want to show that an answer by X once existed but has been deleted. I'll talk it over with the crew and see what they think.

My suggestion to this, show 2 or 3 counts, like the voting, e.g. V/T or A/V/T answers.
Where A are accepted answers, V are the valid answers and T the total answers. Deleted answers and answers by the OP are not valid, but count for the total.

That may not be immediately clear to users who land on this page. Actually what we decided to go forward with is to only show and count valid answers. There'll be a 'Show Deleted' button to display those answers.

Subject says it all
The tooltip on the right does say I have the "rights" to edit it but the edit button is gone.
[edit] never mind seems like it's back, weird tho.

I have asked a question and answered it myself.
1) There seems to be no way to accept an answer as correct. Am I missing something?

</a>[<a href="http://www.codeproject.com/answers/58788/Looking-for-a-free-net-Map-Control-Winforms.aspx" target="_blank" title="New Window">^</a>]
2) Also this question does not appear in the most recent list and yet it is only 1 day old.

1) You can only "accept" answers posted by other members. We've discussed this point and do have something planned to address it.
2) The latest questions page cycles through at a fair clip. Looking at it now I see that the latest question is 2 hours old.

We're hiding it if there hasn't been any revisions.

But you yourself made a change to that tip/trick.

Ohh right I changed the tags. That's a bug then!

I tried to add the tag 'Homework '. It was added, but now I see 'Homew ','k ' instead, [^].

Hence it was your homework and I broke a rule: we don't do your homework, here!

Are there any changes in the QA stylesheets?
If you look on answers with quotes, the blockquotes are overlapped by the following text line. I've seen this with firefox 3.6 and IE 8.0. A few days ago, maybe even yesterday, everything was okay.
PS: At the moment I have seen that you have changed the text spacings, maybe there is the problem?
|
|
|
|
|
Here is an Example[^] because it is not on every blockquote
|
|

|

Just looked at a question that said "Article is locked for editing by vkarthikreddy. Lock expires in 10 minutes." Should probably say "question is locked".

I edited (aka, "improved") this question, but the only change I made that persisted was the tags. I also changed the title and the text body. I changed the text body to:
I want to use a DLL file in VB 6.0. Is this possible?
However, the original text is showing up in that question. Even when I go through the revisions and show the minor edits and click the latest one, it still shows the original text. And when I attempted to revise it again, that revision didn't cause any changes at all (it remained at revision 2). Perhaps there was some constraint I didn't satisfy (like the text being a minimum length) and I was not notified of the failure to satisfy it?
|
|
|
|
|
Also, the title I tried to change it to was "Use DLL File in VB6".
