Hi All
I have been doing some research on command line programs and been testing some results from these.
Now that I am done testing, I am looking to test a few more features, this time on a mobile platform.
The problem I have is whether or not it is possible to use a command line executable within the mobile environment.
This is the ideal scenerio:
Some uses there phone and logs onto a specific website. They then request something from the server.
The server then sends the requested file along with the command line exectuble. The executable then performs specific functions on the file on the mobile client side and presents the file.
Is this at all possible?
Two things immediatedly jump out at me: Do I have to code the executables into the web application for the mobile, or can it be done simply by programming in somthing like asp .net?

It is quite likely that this data is available as some sort of feed. You should contact the company and ask if they provide this.
Alternatively you could use Mark's option (previous post) or another way might be (if the data is available) to adapt this: Yahoo Market data - another take.[^]. Although the data the article uses as example isn't exactly what you want Yahoo supply a wide range so it might be there somewhere. Finally, you may have to pay for it: proprietary data (such as the site in question displays) is rarely free.Tychotics: take us back to the moon

I have a new vm 2008 box with 8gig Ram and 6 processors running IIS 7. I need to find a way to set my website up in a certain app_pool while other websites are in a seperate app_pool and try to bring it down. We are trying to see if one app_pool looses all its resources what happens to the rest of the websites in the seperate app_pools.
Can someone offer some suggestions on how I can test the website to accompolish this? COuld be C# code or asp.net page that does it, just needs to be done.

may be the field name will be incorrect, it should be news_title

Hello.
I have a form that users must fill out. Once they click submit, I check for various errors. If there are any errors, I want to popup a jquery window at that point (via my code) to display the error message. Unfortunately, I'm having some trouble trying to get it to work. I don't receive any error...just a page refresh, nothing more.
Here's my codebehind:

Hi remove document.Ready because if you write your code in this function means code get execute after postback.

I know this is a wide open question......
This is my first attempt at a web page. I need to create a page that is a data driven tree of hyperlinks. I will want a textbox at the bottom that displays help text when the user mouses over a link in the tree.
I have zero experience doing ASP.net or any form of web development. Can someone point me to an example or otherwuse point me in the right direction?

There are two types of list tags in HTML according to html tutorials
:< OL > and < UL >. < OL > stands for "ordered list." An ordered list has numbers or letters next to each list item. The default for < OL > is numeric bullets (like 1, 2, 3, etc.)

By modifying the < OL > tag with "TYPE", you can change the type of "numbers" that appear next to each list item:
< OL TYPE = "A" >: A, B, C, etc.
< OL TYPE = "a">: a, b, c, etc.
< OL TYPE = "I">: I, II, III, etc.
< OL TYPE = "i">: i, ii, iii, etc.
< UL > stands for "unordered list." An unordered list has bullets next to each list item. The default for < UL > is a black circle (disc), however, like with < OL >, you can choose different bullet types using the TYPE modifier.

I don't know whether I am asking a stupid thing.
I can develop an application that can read emails for me and can send SMS alerts for every new mail.
That application keeps on monitoring my inbox. But I want it to execute 24 hr a day.
Is it possible to make an exe executing all the time online in some other online service or machine.
Something like a program running in cloud(cloud computing)
