Not sure if this is a bug, but I keep seeing questions incorrectly tagged with "C++, Linux". One example can be found here. Just thought there might be some bug, as it seems hard to believe that people keep making this same exact mistake. Here are some other examples: 1, 2 (possibly tagged correctly), 3, 4 (possibly tagged correctly).
I'm pretty sure that on my answers page, any answer that was accepted was colored differently. That no longer appears to be the case. The accepted answers are still a different color on the page that contains the question they answer, but they are not a different color on the My Posts -> Answers page. That was a nifty feature that would be nice to have back.
FYI, I still see this bug. Look here. It says I edited the question last, but when I look at the version history and look at the latest version, it says it was edited by Satyam182. Also, I am sure I did not edit that question.
Okay.. I think that was actually just before we applied the fix. This is partly a data problem so you might see this bug come up for questions older than when the fix was applied. It shouldn't happen any more. I hope that's okay.
In any case I got you removed as the last editor by editing the question myself
Check out version 113 of the old bug list. Note that there were four bugs I reported there. Just to make sure they didn't get lost (they aren't listed in this new bug list), I thought I'd ask: are you still looking into them? Sorry to pester you, but this was bugging me.
Yep I've put them into our bug tracking tool internally. You're not pestering Totally valid concern.
In fact, the discussion we had over a couple of these bugs was my motivation to moving to this new format. If you recall:
* You reported a bug
* I answered it and thought the discussion was closed
* You pointed out I misunderstood and clarified
* I acknowledged that this could be a problem and placed in our bug tracker
The problem is we were beginning to have a conversation about a bug but, this conversation was occuring within the quick answer entry itself - which is a poor format for this. So I figured why don't we use our forum control for this? Precisely what it's meant for right? This way I can address members directly, we can have a better conversation flow and other members can add their thoughts - all the benefits of our forum system.
So what I'm hoping for is bug reports and suggestions to come in through the forums attached to the Bug List[^] and Suggestions and TODOs[^].
