YOu mean Compress method used by NTFS partiton?
This kind is compressed by OS. So it automatcly gets decompressed befpre zse and you do not need to handle it. If there was a need to handle it, then there would be a lot of broken apps

So I've created this application....
I realized that when it installs, all it installs is just a Shortcut to an Application Manifest.
The problem is, that the server the installer is on that it checks for updates etc.... if it ever goes down then that makes me thing that the shortcut wouldn't work thus the users can't use the program. How do i make it so that my C# program actually Installs the program itself on the users PC and not just a shortcut?

I have to parse html with charset=iso-8859-2. I am getting html string now like this:

Now specials are showed like ? or smt, because they aren't in ASCII range. How could i parse it with special chars showed normally?

You asked for it in ASCII, perhaps you should use Unicode.

Seems like ISO 8859-2[^] stands for the Central European character set. So I would go for an 8-bit encoding, most likely new Encoding(12xx) is all it takes. It certainly won't work properly with ASCII, as that only accepts character codes [0, 127].

Ok i did it like this:
Encoding e=Encoding.GetEncoding(1250);
Still all chars aren't showed as they should be. One of them is showed right..for others I used replace

Try to ping something in c#. If it succeeds, you are connected
|

You should also set the TTL to 2 to make sure there's not other "random Internet problem" causing your ping to fail. (Assuming that your gateway is 1 hop away).

MD5 is one way encryption, you cannot decrypt it, you can only compare the encrypted value against a dictionary to see if it matches are predefined list of encrypted strings. See this[^] wikipedia article.

In addition to Elliots response, you should not use MD5 for new applications - it is considered "broken" and should not be used for any new development. Use SHA512 instead, until the SHA 1024 specification comes out in 2012.

You don't. MD5 is a one-way hash. You cannot get the original string back from the encrypted hash.

You don't say in what format you want to 'save' the page.
You may be able to render the page using a System.Windows.Forms.WebBrowser control and use that.

Digging and trying I found that this project provides DOM information and is exactly what I need.
I found that you need an active x for accomplish this handling the IHTMLDocument2 class.
