Its depends what kind of control you are using. What are the data you are showing in those controls ? Is it common for all user, then you can use Fragment caching for that.

How to edit record, if multiple users trying to access the same record same time in
Grid View control in web form ? What is the possible solution to manage such problem ?
|
|
|
|
|
Fragment caching we can do with only user controls. Lets suppose we have Grid view, List Box, Combo box, Data list on the same web page that are using heavy data and no user controls are there and the page is dynamic, In this case what are the different options to increase web page performance ?

Can anyone help me in how to increase performance issue when we fetch very large amount of data from sqlserver db and display in Grid view ?

If you are talking about asp.net membership, then its vast, means it involves many functionality. So what exact functionality you are looking for ? Why you are not want to use inbuilt functionality ?
Thanks !!

Dear all,
This is an interview question.
I have 2 user controls placed in my web page say usercontrol1 and usercontrol2.
In usercontrol1 i have all filter parameters (which user will selects) and a submit button.User selects and clicks on submit button.
After clicking on submit button we need to show the data in usercontrols2.....How??
Inorder to achive above we should not use query string,sessions,viewstate...Then what we should use. Please give your ideas.
Can we use Events and delegate mechanism here???
Thanks,

Delegates. That is what I use whenever I have to do something like that.
50-50-90 rule: Anytime I have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability I'll get it wrong...!!

Hi,
I've created a website on locall network at my work,
throught the web i approach to a directory that located on other srver at the same network.
My problem is that when i'm trying to access to a file on the other server i'm getting an "access denied" error.
FileInfo[] fi = (new DirectoryInfo(@"server name\C$\some directory\").GetFiles("*.sql"));<br />
this.DropDownList1.DataSource = fi;<br />
this.DropDownList1.DataBind();<br />
Is it possible that i can't do it?

You need to provide access to the user under which your website runs on the server.

Use a asp:HyperLink and set the image url and set the target attribute to _blank to open in a new window!
Check this[^] for details
|
|
|
|
|
Just use
window.open in OnClientClick of the Imagebutton to invoke the javascript new window.
Just place the id of the image in querystring, so that when the server is called, the proper image to be shown in the window.

I am also agree with Abhishek, Use Window.Open(). Avoid unnecessary Postback ! .
