Just out of curiosity, how many people thought "Left or right what?" instead of assuming.
|
|
|
|
|
Personally I gave it no thought at all, I presumed that it would be wasted and I have no brain matter spare at the moment...

People who love sausage and respect the law should never watch either one being made.
The things that come to those who wait are usually the things left by those who got there first.

Is that a case of multiple votes, or less apathy ?

Yes - so I'm glad I only let this foolishness run for 2 days

It gives the satisfuction of participation
but it doesn't require any thinking at all.
I'd like to see more like that in the future.

Interesting that everyone assumes this is about your dominant hand. Why not your political tendancy, or the side of the road you drive on?

This is obviously yet another poll that comes directly from the Microsoft propoganda machine! It is obvious that left stands for MFC and right stands for .NET where most people will pick the right and unbeknownst to them be voting for .NET
|
|
|
|
|
LOL, then I would like a "In the midle" as I (almost) never use MFC, and wait to see with C# and .NET

I'm right handed, politically tendent to left, drive on the right side of the road, and use the mouse with the left hand... I hope everything it's ok!?
When answering to this survey I was thinking about my dominant hand, though.
Was it something else?

Or the tendency of your political enemies, or your mirror image, or the part of the brain that controls your dominant hand...

This arbitrary segregation into "left" and "right" is terrible. I don't like to be pigeonholed. I think outside the box, and strive to one day venture into the great category of "ambidextrous." Or at the very least "ambisyllabic."

I have to disagree. If we're going to be segregated I would prefer it be as a result of arbirtrary criteria. Makes life much more dynamic and therefore, interesting.

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous

which opens the possibility for a new survey: Why did you choose "left"?
a) political statement
b) it was the first button
c) I didn't - it was my cat
d) I chose right
e) I'm left handed

There's going to be a resurgance. There always is with these things. The rights will start ballot-box stuffing, and then it'll be 10:1 right to left. Soon enough, lefties will try and make a comeback and down the twisted spiral we go.
I've seen this happen time and time again. It's never pretty. We need to remember that we are only hurting ourselves.

Look, chris, I'm proud to have an opportulity to vote (left will prevail) but shouldn't you start with something more fundamental before tackling the frumious Right/Left issue?
