Hello,
I have made two tables in SQL server : one is tblogin and 2nd is Details.
i want to have the information in the details view in the web form which is opened after successfull login .And that information must be correspondent to the login form.

Sounds so trivial that you don't even need to write code to do it. Why can't you do it ? What have you tried ?

In login web form, i have bound login database,
In another web form that opens after successful login, i have bound "details" database.
and. login database have 1 PK cloumn i.e. UserId which is the foreign Key column in details table...
Now , I want to access the information from the details table from UserId corresponding to Id of the login table . i mean ,form must always show the details of the ID that has been logged in, from the details table that is bound the web form

OK - so it sounds like perhaps you need to write your own SQL to achieve what you want ? Do you know anything about SQL ? Do you know how to use ADO.NET to connect to a database ? Although I said you can probably do it without writing code, the fact is that no professional solution would work that way.

Retain the logged in user's id (through session maybe). Fire a query on the details table to get the data for the logged in user. Display it on the page.

During Login process place a sessionkey of current userid into session from User table.
If you details Id is UserId you can easily fetch from session :
"SELECT * FROM DETAILS WHERE ID = " + Session["UserID"]
Use SqlCommand object to fire the query and get the output.
Finally Bind the output with any UIElement you want to .

Make ur fundas strong in Sql and ADO.net , otherwise Developement would be a big headache for you

Have you thought about why is this before planning to change the domain? I am not sure about SEO, but IMO, it's a sh*tty job.

An IT course takes four years. Did you do a course and THEN spend 7 months working in .NET ? Or did you start to learn programming 7 months ago ?

i have devexpress ASPxMenu control on my form and also other controls like textbox,button etc.
If the user changes the text in the textbox and clicks the menu control i would like to prompt
the user through javascript or server side coding that he has not saved his changes and moving on
to other form.
I tried with ajax update panel but that update panel use to get postback on textchanged event of textbox .So if I change textbox contents and press save button then it use to postback the form without
the code for click of button getting executed.
Can this be done through javascripting?

Yes. You need to keep a flag which sets when value changes in the text box. Hook a JS function on the OnUnload event and check this flag's status. If it is set, display the prompt.

The answer, as you've been told, is yes. It's really easy. Perhaps you should buy a javascript book and read it ? There's an event that fires if your textbox text changes, when that fires, you set your flag and you check it in the event, as you were told.

i am using asp.net + C#
in my page i use label for "Bio post" ,to display.If the user enter datas like "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"etc. with out enter any space. the alignment problem will occur .i want to display all the details like
"aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"
"aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"
"aaaaaaaaa"
.Is it possible.I dont need scroll bar in that. if the text not fix in specified width of that label it will come next line.
for eg:in gmail if we type subect only letters like "11111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111 " but when we open it the subject display properly like
"111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111"
"111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111"
"111111111111111111111111111111111"
is any way to solve like this .and this fix in page width.
I use text box to display data .but i dont need that scroll bar when we set wrap="true".i need to display all the details with out scroll bar.

You mean textbox will automatically adjust its height on user entry ??
I think you need to use Javascript to do this.

you can't do that with a traditional master page. You need to use frames to create an area where a flash runs and is not refreshed. www.diawebster.com [^] has an example ( it's my website )

but the problem is that flash object works as a menu. so it has links to other pages. therefore page is refreshed when a link is clicked.
can i stop it..

I have been tasked with replacing some DOM and javascript with an ASP custom control.
The aspx page is using master pages.
What I need to do is access the custom control with javascript in the aspx page. The control and its C# code behind are working, but I need to access a listbox contained within the control. I seem to be unable to access the control at all.
For example, in the aspx page I have the custom control like this:
<uc1:_Locations ID="_Locations1" runat="server" />;
In another page using an AJAX slider control, I have been able to access it like this:
var sliderUpdater = $find("SliderBehavior");
... then I am able to get and set properties for the slider.
However, trying similar approaches with our custom control all results in returning null from the $find. Note: our control does not currently have any extenders or BehaviorID.
I will post more code details if necessary.
Any ideas, help, or links would be appreciated.

What ID are you using in the find? Don't forget about the name mangling that ASP.NET applies to IDs
only two letters away from being an asset
