By changing your code so that it checks every year and not just the current year.
Did you really expect a detailed answer on how to fix code you didn't bother to show us ?

It sounds like you don't have a clue what you're doing. You should consider buying an existing cart.

Well, in that case, read up on either the login control, or on the session and write your own login control.

sir
please give me suggestion
i want to display my records from dataset to textboxes.and these textboxes are in gridview footer template.
how can we bind or what ever the solution .
please help me.

Why do they need to be in the footer ? Why do you need to use a gridview ? A repeater gives you more control. Putting them under your gridview may work even better. Is the data one record, or many ?

Hi to All,
Sorry if it is a basic question.........
Since I am a new learner to ASP.NET..I am not able find the exact differrence in terms of functionality with
server control
client control
html server control
web server controls
I want to know, when to use what....Please clarify me. If Possible , practical scenario and examples would be great....
Thanks in advance

In fact, there is no definition, the terms you're using make no sense. All controls render on the client, although perhaps it means ASP.NET controls vs pure HTML controls ? I guarentee you there is no such thing as a HTML server control or web server control. Someone is pulling your leg.
Buy a book. If you have half a clue what words like server, client and HTML mean, then you won't be the butt of any practical jokes.

I bet it's his first day on the job, and like most outsourcers, he has no skills and was given the CP URL to help do his job. But I am guessing that the other guys are playing a practical joke on him.

Hi to All,
I am a beginner to Web designing....I am going to use asp.NET with ASP.NET Ajax toolkit...(Just came to know that ASP.NET Ajax is awesome)...
I need some advice before I start my Project....Could you please advice me, so that I can take care of certain things, before i start...
1. I had worked on vs2005 little bit......I want to know should I go ahead with 2005 only, or should I try vs2008..
2. Since, I am going to use asp.net ajax controls ...So in that case, I can see 2 version of it....One 1.0 for vs2005....another is 3.0 for vs2008...I am just bit confuse, the two versions are just to support version of vs....Or , in 3.0 will I have some additional feature?....
3. If there is any other Open Source AJAX control for ASP.NET , Please do let me know...
If there is lots advantage of using vs2008 with ajax 3.0 i can go ahead with it...otherwise i want to stick on to the vs2005 , which i am familiar with.
Please advice me...

Better go ahead with VS 2008 where Ajax controls are inbuilt. You don't need to install Ajax toolkit separately if you are using VS 2008. The features also, I believe that it is better in VS 2008.
Success is the good fortune that comes from aspiration, desperation, perspiration and inspiration.

Yes, it does some cool things, but unless you understand how it does them, you'll find it difficult to use, or at least, to make do the things you want.
hrishiS wrote: Or , in 3.0 will I have some additional feature?....
The higher number (3.0 vs 1.0 ) is a subtle clue here...
hrishiS wrote: If there is any other Open Source AJAX control for ASP.NET , Please do let me know...
There's plenty. Even better, AJAX is just a ton of javascript, which you're free to learn and impliment yourself any way you like.

Hi,
We are building an ASP.NET application and in that we need to display Student’s information in a Grid.
Now our requirement is that we need to do Add, Delete, Edit and also Rows REORDER (by Dragging and Dropping rows) student’s records through that Grid.
Is it possible (All 4 functionalities mentioned above)? If so would you please let me know any reference link/tutorial?
Many Thanks,
Regards.

Yes, it's pretty easy. There's events for adding, deleting, editing and sorting. It's all in the documentation. The GridView is the class you need to use.
