yeah, it's possible his code needs to be used locally, so it's good you were able to provide local info, but that's why I tell people who post here about that article ( and many do ) that they need to find something local to them for testing, and to their client for deployment.

you are absolutely right...
Even for production, I think clients cant rely on free services.. As most of the free services doesn't guarantee sms delivery.
Cheers.

eah, the other issue is that people who have clients paying $30 for a whole project, tend not to be willing to pay for anything. I don't see any angle that would keep a free service liquid and operating.

If it works on your PC, then you have the dll. You can search for it, just make sure you search hidden folders as well.

ASP.NET - ASP.NET web page timing out calling SSIS package..
jason smith posted at 09-Sep-09 12:55
Hello folks,
Here's how I am calling a SSIS package.
I have ASP.NET (3.5 version - .aspx) web page calling a WCF service. The WCF service in turn calls SSIS package running on a sql server 2005.
In debug mode, I found that after say 2 minutes, the UI page times out. The WCF service still runs the SSIS package without a problem. Please look at the config file.
Can someone give me advise/suggestions on how to increase the timeout?
Thanks
Here's my web.config file on the Web UI project.
<?xml version="1.0"?><configuration>
<system.serviceModel>
<bindings>
<wsHttpBinding>
<binding name="WSHttpBinding_IQRMDMSService" closeTimeout="00:59:00" openTimeout="00:59:00" receiveTimeout="00:10:00" sendTimeout="00:59:00" bypassProxyOnLocal="false" transactionFlow="false" hostNameComparisonMode="StrongWildcard" maxBufferPoolSize="524288" maxReceivedMessageSize="6555536" messageEncoding="Text" textEncoding="utf-8" useDefaultWebProxy="true" allowCookies="false">

<security mode="Message">

<message clientCredentialType="Windows" negotiateServiceCredential="true" algorithmSuite="Default" establishSecurityContext="true"/>
</security>
</binding>
</wsHttpBinding>
</bindings>
<client>
<endpoint address="http://localhost/QrmdmsServices/QRMDMSService.svc"

bindingConfiguration="WSHttpBinding_IQRMDMSService"

{
lebel1.Text = cArray[i].ToString() +"5";
}

Its Basic
char[] cArray = TextBox1 .Text.ToCharArray();
Label1.Text = "";
for (int i = 0; i < cArray.Length; i++)
{
Label1.Text = Label1.Text+cArray[i].ToString() + "5";
}

This is so basic. I would suggest you to buy good book on C# and start reading.

lebel1.Text += cArray[i].ToString() +"5";
Good luck.

Just change it to
lebel1.Text += cArray[i].ToString() +"5";
If you set it to label, the existing content will be removed. += means it will concat with the existing string.

Hi All,
I have lost lot of time figuring this out.
Scenario - I have to upload an Excel file using File Upload and read the contents and insert some of the excel values in to DB.Using Asp.net and c#
Problem - Works in local machine ,but not in server. Because the server tries to read the same path as the file which was loaded in client machine and file exists in client machine only.
Limitations - Can't write or copy excel file to server.
Can any one help please.
thanking all for your help.
Cheers
Raj

This because File is not getting uploaded into server.
When you run any asp.net web application from VS, it handled by VS integrated ASP.NET Engine . Which having all kind of right to store file. But when you upload the sites on server ( IIS ), its runs on default Application Pool . The default Identity of this pool is Network Service , which is having the minimum rigts to access the sites and does not have the write permission to save file on disk.
You can have two different solution,
1) Create different application pool with Local System Identity , which having write access on server and asign it to your web virtual directory.
2) Give the Write Access permission to all the user for that particular folder where you uploading the file.

Hey believe me, just dont ever look at the Filepath that comes with Fileupload control.
Just use
fileupload.SaveAs(Server.MapPath(Path.Combine("\folder" + fileupload.FilePath)))
Also the folder needs access permission to asp.net if not placed within virtual directory. Also remove the readonly attribute from the folder.

Is it possible to popup in javascript everytime this link button is clicked to confirm surrender yes no?
