when I click on 'link' I get <a href=""></a> but when I click on 'link[^]' I also get <a href=""></a>. Am I missing something (e.g. brain cells)?

Hi Richard,
This looks like a bug.
We will add it to our bug list and fix it as soon as we can.
Thanks for reporting, and sorry for inconvenience.
Sincerely,
Elina

No inconvenience, just .
I notice many other posters using the link[^] version and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. Not being an HTML guru I didn't have the secret.
|
|
|
|
|
The link[^] adds target="_blank" to the anchor so it should read
<a href="" target="_blank"></a>
I find the easiest way is to paste the link directly into the message, then you automatically get both. I've never used the link widgets at all!

No it's definitely still broken, I get <a href=""></a>

Ah the secret is revealed, I wondered how everyone else managed to get it to work!
Thanks for the tip.

Link[^] is a special case that creates 2 links: 1 that is "normal" and has no target, and the link the the [brackets] that has the target.
The HTML generated is:
<a href="http://www.codeproject.com">Link</a>[<a href="http://www.codeproject.com" target="_blank" title="New Window">^</a>]

Except that it doesn't seem to under Firefox 3.5 on either my Vista or Windows 7 systems. See also Elina's message above.

I must have been blind. I found the (very obvious) bug and have fixed it in development. Should be pushed to production in the next day or so.

Why don't we have Microsoft Surface category in Articles and Message Board sections as its a growing technology?
|
|
|
|
|
Because you don't develop in Surface. You develop in things like WPF on Vista or Windows 7, which are adequately catered for.
"WPF has many lovers. It's a veritable porn star!" - Josh Smith As Braveheart once said, "You can take our freedom but you'll never take our Hobnobs!" - Martin Hughes.

Thats right.
But they are having seperate SDK for Surface.

|
|
|
Hi,
I agree with Arun ; I think MS Surface is almost a technology of its own and deserves its own category. Developing using WPF or developing for Surface isn't quite the same in many aspects.
At least, having a 'Surface' tag would help find related articles and projects.
Thx

I seem to have moved to the States recently, have all countries been reset to the US or is someone giving me a hint?
|
|

I am still located in Germany. Does it get reset to the states even if you change it back ?

Now your assuming I tried to change it instead of screaming BUG.....
Seems to have accepted the change back to Singapore.

Funnily enough I'd love to live in Belgium for a couple of years. I miss being able to get in the car and take a driving weekend away (I miss the car!).

Yeah if you can stand the traffic jams, endless searching for parking and never ending bad roads.
But I guess that's no different from anywhere else.

From experience Sydney and London have the same problem, Singapore, we don't even own a car as the public T/p is excellent. Been here 5 years and would love to have a winter again, summer can actually get boring after enough of it .
I like the fact that you can get into the car and just drive into the countryside (a city state is well, a city ONLY), I have to fly anywhere except Malaysia.

Add PLENTY of rash/negligent driving to it and you have Bangalore.

I've recently come across a plethora of VB and C# articles that show up when attempting to filter for for C++. Further examination shows that I can't even select for filtering for C++. I select "C++ Filter" and Update List and the list box clears to "No Filter"
Of course this is made all the more confusing by having a drop list box AND a menu type bar, which is perfectly hideous design. Make your mind up and use one.
Finally C++/CLI should not show up under MFC/C++.

|
|

Hi Joe,
Do those articles that come up in the search have a VB or C# attribute in the upper right hand corner?
Thanks,
