Hi
I have implemented some drag n drop functionality using the example by WickedCode with their colour dragger, the dragging and dropping works perfectly however....
I have implemented a callback facility using so that when the user drops the object on its target I can perform the relevant update on the server refresh the screen and continue and this is where the problem lies. After the callback has completed my drag and drop no longer works!
I'm guessing it something to do with the Javascript code gaining a reference initially to the drag and drop objects but then when I perform the callback those objects get recreated within the updatepanel and although they have the same id the reference is obviously lost??
Has anybody got any references, links to helpful documentation on this subject as it seems quite sparse!

Hello friends,
I know i have posted similar thing yesterday but i didn't got my solution yet.
I am using popup window in my application which i am creating like this

I want to pass a string value to my SearchBOM.aspx page, which i'll enter in a TextBox.
I tried using Session variables, but i found out on net that i can't use sessions in client side code.
Then i used HiddenField for the purpose but still it didn't helped me.
Now i want to try for QueryString option.
I know i have to pass it by putting '?' after pagename but it still giving me errors.
Am missing something? Can anybody help me?
Also i am using Content PAge and not a normal web page.

It'll give u year of System Date
System.DateTime.Now.Year;

That will give you the year on the server. I assume he knows that, and wants the year on the client

This is really, really nasty.
The issue as far as I can see is that you have 21 ? and you're only adding 20 parameters. I'd suggest cleaning this code up.

i have a gridview using edittemplate i put it in a panel and use scroll bars. It doesnot work my gridview is hide when i put it in gridview, i also bring it in front but still hide.

Put your gridview inside div and set the overflow property of the div, also set height and width properties of the div.

Have you considered using real variable names, or are you trying to make your code hard to read ? What does your aspx look like ? I would recommend before you ever consider charging anyone for your code, that you learn how to write professional code as it pertains to database access. I'd fire anyone who wrote SQL in the presentation layer. What insanity is it that you want to rebind this control once for every row in your grid ?

If you're a beginner, I assume no-one is paying for this code. It's sure not worth any money. So, instead of trying to solve this problem ( and this code is FULL of problems ), why not start slower and work through a book. You won't have to worry about sticking to a specific problem and solving it, until your code is at a professional standard, and someone is paying for it.
There is so much wrong with this code, I wouldn't know where to start.

Yes.. If your footer contains the control, find only in the footer...
where is if condition before running FindControl.
