For simple HTML div you can enable scrollbar using the overfolow style property. All you need is to set overflow:auto; for div. For example

<div style="overflow:auto;">
...............
...............
</div>

Alternatively you can place gridview inside this scrollbar enabled div.

This default behaviour based on page height. You can customize it using CSS.

You can also use ASP.NET Panel control. Fix the height and width of the Panel control and use Panel.ScrollBars property to enable Horizontal/Vertical scroll bars. It is actually rendered as a DIV tag.

Resource Files in Web Farm

Hello Experts,

We have a ASP.Net 2.0 web site.. This web site is now web - farm enabled.
The web site provides a User Interface to update the resx files to teh various admin users.
So imagine, with web farm setup, there could be a different version of resx file on Server A than Server B..

Can we keep these resx files on a central location?
If not, what is the best possible way to resolve this problem? I read a lot about it and it seems the best method is to keep it in a database. The database will also be able to provide the locks etc via the stored proc.

The shared assembly option is the other way, but I think that doesn't resolve my problems.
The assembly will still have the resx files located on both the server and it doesn't ensure that teh similar files are kept at both ends.

Any pointers? This looks like a tough one for me..

Hi,

When ever i am sending the mail to particular email ids then i am getting the bounce mail with delivery failed after 5 attempts message. This is happening from one of the from email id but when i am sending the same mail from different from email id then i am not getting the bounce mail and mail is getting delivered.

We are sending the mails from code which is created using ASP.NET 2.0 with C#.

Any particular reason as why this is happening? Any direction how to get rid of it.

Is the bouncing email ids are from Yahoo? Yahoo has some delivery delay issues which I too experience. But if it is not, then I don't think it would be on the code side. Check the mail server configuration.

I have a menu control which I filled using XML.When I run my project from local IIS and click particular menu item from menu control then that page get opened properly.But when I run my project after uploading on web server on net and then click on menu item then that page doesn't get open.It gives me following error.I googled but didn't find proper solution.Can anybody tell me the reason for this error(I am using Asp.Net 2.0 and Sql server 2005).

There is no property ConnectionStrings in WebConfigurationManager (Vista IIS7.0) am I missing another assembly added?

error, no ConnectionStrings property in the WebConfigurationManager

There is only single method WebConfigurationManager.GetSection(). Wierd???
