Hi,
I have the following FilteredTextBoxExtender on a textbox.

when i select a row in the list view it will fill load data to the textboxes the FilteredTextBoxExtender is clearing the spaces in the textbox,i specified space as the valid character, but its not firing
can any body help me regarding this.

Hi,
I am in the early stages of designing/developing an ASP.NET 3.5 web application with an SQL Server 2008 database. The following is the way i am thinking of approaching the design for this particular area but i am keen to know any cleverer, more efficent ways of doing this:
My application will contain a number of user accounts. Each user will have a field associated with it in the database called "League". The "League" database field will contain a limited but indefinite number of unique identifers for each league the user is in. Each unique identifier in the league column will be seperated by the character ; which will allow me to parse through and obtain each users leagues as needed
Once again i dont think this is the best approach to this and i would be keen for anyone with any suggestions which utilize any .Net technology in a clever and efficent way.
I really appreciate any tips and suggestions that anybody may have!

It is not a good approach. Create another table and store the league details for each user. That is, this table will have a row for each league pertaining to a user. user id will be the foreign key for user and league tables.

Yes.. I do agree with dotnet buddy. This is not any typical ASP.NET issue. This is mainly I think a database design related issue. Per your details, it means you have users who are associated with different leagues. Each league is identified by an identifier. It's a one-to-many relationship.
So you should be having two tables - User and UserLeague. Both of them should be linked with UserId which is a primary key in User table and a foreign key in UserLeague table. In the UserLeague table you can have LeagueId column (your identifier for League). So you can have multiple rows for same userId in UserLeague table.

If you ever come across a Database table has something like
User Password

This means a Bad decision has been done while desgining this database. The Table is not even in the First normal Form. You can have a datbase designed and concatename this that should have been separated. If you try to add .net languages to do a dirty job for you, you will have a very complecated system that is difficult to debug and work with.

I am having 3 text boxes and a total label.total is calculating from the values of
the textboxes.i am validating textboxes for only entering decimal values.but
when i am entering values starting with decimal (".") the total is changing to
NaN error (javascript - Not a Number error)..how to fix it?? other decimal values
are working fine..only decimal starting with "." is giving error..any solution?

dont start with a decimal (.45 , I think you suppose to do like this) but for javascript it is not a number place it as (0.45) and try.Validate that textbox for a nmuiric value so that it wont happen in future

Now row_index will have row index (which row's button u have clicked)

Hi...
I m using master page for my website(asp.net/C# 2.0) and have put adrotator control.
I am using Ajax Update Panel and put adrotator and timer control under it, alogwith scriptmanager.
I am displaying GIF images through xml file into rotator.
Now once the first page of the website is loaded everything works fine, but once i redirected to different pate what i see is page is automatically posting back though i have put rotator in update panel.
(i have put scriptmanager in master page only)
Please guide me to execute AdRotator for smoothly running...

I have been searching for Ajax implementation in ASP .net,
I want to call a server side method from Javascript, but I am not able to find an example of that.
I don't want to use a webservice or webmethod.
