there is nothing like ajax in web.config.... how do i enabe that.. and on browser the page is running and giving the output but before output it prompts error...when i click no 2-3 times then it displays output...

Web services communicates as SOAP messages which have XML format. What is the problem you are facing here?

Good evening!
I have a WebUserControl which has 2 textboxes (Username and Password ) and one ImageButton. ( They represent the user login )
The password textbox is rendered as
...<input type="password"...
and the imagebutton is rendered as
....<input type="submit"...
Everything worked fine but when i used in a real situation i realized that i had to have more ImageButtons used in other controls which are rendered as
...<input type="submit"...
, so whenever i click one of those buttons, Firefox asks me if i want to remember my apssword ( the browser is confused if the button is used for password submit ).
Is there a way to specify which button is for the password submit so firefox wont be confused?
If not ..... is there a workaround ?

I think this is not possible.
When posting the request to server, browsers will check for password fields and alert user about saving it. All you can do is to separate the functionality into multiple pages. A password update page should contain buttons that are used only for updating password.

You can use "buttons" that do not submit. Use HyperLink control. Use the ImageUrl property to set images, and NagivateUrl to set the page to navigate to. However, you won't be able to catch the click event in a postback, so you must pass any parameters in the NavigateUrl property.

Hi,
Currently, i have one language dropdownlistbox which contains upto 40 languages. I want to add functionality for adding upto 5 languages. I want it similar to languages feature on orkut.com (or maybe facebook), where u choose one language, click a btn and another drop down box with add btn appears, again on click another dropdown and add btn appears (this happens for 10-12 languages).
I am confused regarding the implementation in the sense that whether this functionality requires ajax update panel or can it be done using javascript. Is there anyway in which javascript can take data of one ddl and add it to another , so that if i add 5 ddls and then appear and disappear the boxes using javascript and transferring dropdown data from first dropdown box, I can do the appear/disappear part of it but i dont want to assign 40 languages to all 5 controls at same time, i want one to be visible and maybe on a click another appears with the 40 languages from first ddl...

Ajax is one option that you can use. But if you want to creates ddl and runtime, then you need to creates them before page load, Preferably Pre_Init(), other wise control will not maintin View State Data also not able to hold postback data.

Thanks for your reply, I don't want to create the drop down boxes at run time, i think, i will add them to the page with no data and style="display:'none'". (is that a good practise?). Then i will have a button which would display it at client side but how would i transfer values of first dropdown to second (in client side script) if it is made visible.

Hi friends,
In my application from windows form i am going to open one URL in IE...in that web page[PAGE 1] after passing UserName & password it will redirect to other page[Page 2]....that page contain IFrames....
Now from that page i have to redirect to another page[PAGE 3]...
but URL of Page 3 is different..
I mean to say if Page 2 URL is https://www.google.com
Than Page 3 URL will be https://www.abcgoogle.com....but due to Iframe when i redirect from page 2 to page 3 address bar url will not change due to Iframe....
Now when i am on Page 2 when i mouse over on link button(which redirect me to third page)...at that time on status bar it is display this URL(https://www.abcgoogle.com)
Now my problem is From page2 how can i get status bar value??? so finally i redirect to third page.....

in javascript inside of IFrame use
window.parent.location.href = 'www.abcgoogle.com' to redirect the page fully to the site.
Statusbar can also be found from window.parent.status from within the IFrame.

Hi friends,
I'm Trying to create a report to display the dynamic columns, my requirement is to use a single chart for displaying the value in percentage for each columns.
for ex:
col1 col2 col3 .... ColN
1% 25% 25% .... 25% = Total(100%)
The above mentioned example indicates that Col1,col2,col3...ColN need to be displayed in a single chart manner.
And also each columns value should be displyed in diff colors.
Currently I have implemented Matrix in RDLC report for generating multiple columns dynamically. But it will create individual chart for each columns.
I need to display all the column values into the single chart.
If you have any experience kindly reply.

I have worked with RDLC. Its just an XML which the Report handler processes to produce the HTML output to the Report Viewer. You can create dynamic report but you should always follow the syntax of the xml which it can parse.. or in other words you can produce charts which are only available with it. You cant draw in RDLCs
Thus if you want to draw something in your report, you need to create HTML yourself.. which may draw your chart using divs and background colors of them.
You can use iTextsharp to produce PDF to print your html easily.

I am trying to use a Session Variable in an update command and the error that I continue to get is:
Parser Error
Description: An error occurred during the parsing of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific parse error details and modify your source file appropriately.
Parser Error Message: Server tags cannot contain <%...%>constructs.
It also says that the Datasource is not well formed when I try to enter it in. Could someone help me figure out how to use this?

After some wiked code in the web site hangs, IIS do the same, and you can not access the site from IE no more. Though you still can use IIS 5.1 and stop and pause the site, but it is not accessible from outside.
How to restart IIS without server reboot? What service needs to stop and run again or executable to kill?

G# is your field name ?
