Hi ,
I am using ajax tabs for first time.i have three gridviews inside three tabs.when i update one gridview data it should show in 2nd tabs gridview.but when i am clicking 2nd tab 2nd gridview showing old data.i am also binding data to 2nd gridview on ist gridview updating

hi,

Before saving the database u maintain that values to session.

In that session u passed to 2nd tab gridview values.

It's working .....

Hi All

Can any one tell me the diffrence between ajax and call back concept.i searched in google. but i did not get proper answer. and also the life cycle of call back? how it differ from normal asp.net page life cycle?

You mean diff between AJAX using ICallBack and ASP.NET AJAX?

Callback is used to get a callback from the server. Its the normal XMLHttpRequest object.
ASP.NET AJAX is more improved version, where you can Post the entire page. Sometimes it also does Form.Submit, based on your request.

One important thing that you remember, using UpdatePanel will hide the actual postback is shown, even if it creates a new form and submit the entire form of urs to the server.

I am new For Jquery ,I want to use jquery in VS2005 but I am not doing.
I write a code to display hello on button click
but nothing is happen after button click.
I think I did not get reference of query.js file.
How to use????????????

$ means

document.getElementById

document.ready means when Document is loaded completely.

$('Button1').click( means bind the function with the event.

this query works in MS Access but not work in sql express. i want to bind this query to a dropdownlist
but it show error when i execute it in datasource "the dataypes text and nvarchar are incompitable in the equal to operator.

Why do you use nVarchar ? change the datatype to Varchar() even the text change it to varchar() , if you feel like the varchar will be too small for the text you want to put in that field add max where you put the dimension like this

Declare @MyVar varchar(max)

In your web.config:

<system.web>
    <authentication mode="Forms">
          <forms timeout="50000000"/>
    </authentication>
</system.web>

the timeout value is in minutes
